I love these announcements announcing and announcement, but I think they should take it further: create an announcement for a teaser that will announce an announcement
There are so many of these now that what we need is some new sub-sections for the forum so that someone can pre-announce that Larry is going to be here soon to preannounce his thread about a product that a vendor is about to preannounce announcing the preannouncement of. Following the announcement of this preannouncement the thread should then be moved to the preannounced but still pending section until further announcements are made. Once this has happened someone should preannounce that Larry is about to preannounce the announcement of the confirmed announcement at which point he should make a new thread preannouncing that the preannouncement will shortly become an official announcement, at which time a new thread should be created to announce that as per the preannouncement the preannouncement is now an announcement.

I wonder where I can go to hear that? SpaceCloud?
I had take it down because they said it infringed copyright even though I left the notes out in a different order.

I did a cover of that, but rather than just copy it I made it my own.

Taking the doughnut round the hole view they're also half on. ?

He only left out that the best notes a jazz player plays are the ones in the gaps he plays that are left out.
Yes. Even if I say so myself, I've written some truly masterful jazz pieces where I left out nearly all of the notes. That is the mark of true genius. The music becomes whatever the listener wants to hear. If they don't like it, they only have themselves to blame.

By the way just clarify i'm posting cause a lot of friends around here ask me what's going and i do think it's important that we all know what's happinging in the "real world" as people will not feel this massiv insulation feeling that a lot of people feel right now , it's not a question of pro or anti , it's a question of free wish and a direct link / impact to our jobs as artists !!
Didn't you also say that you were writing some music to fit the film footage so the thread is most certainly music related ?

I don't see me having a need for Stutter Edit 2
I'm not what you'd call an obvious candidate for using that either, but it can be pretty good when used as texture here and there rather than being the thing that drives the piece. Intros/outros/breakdown sort of things. Maybe even just a one line variation in a verse. Personally I find it more useful than vocalsynth, but one day I might find a use for that too, so I'm happy enough to leave it there as a potential tool as it wasn't any part of my reason to get the bundle.

I can't believe the way that all those ignorant bullies with their raincoats and potentially lethal umbrellas are allowed to intimidate the poor policeman with their riot gear and bulletproof armour. They should all be ashamed of themselves....?
Oh and IBTD. ?

Good news. I finally got through to iZotope via their chat option. They checked my account and said I was eligible for the upgrade to MPS 4.1. Then a few minutes later I got an email from them confirming I did qualify for the MPS 4.1 Upgrade bundle and they gave me a 20% off discount on it. The problem is, it's still more than if I buy it from JRRshop.
Now that I know I can buy the MPS 4.1 Bundle I'll get it from JRRshop. With the group code they automatically applied I can get it for $169. Even with the 20% off coupon iZotope gave me it comes to $223 from them. Honestly, if I hadn't known about the deal you showed me I would have thought $223 was a great deal. There's a lot of great software in that MPS 4.1 bundle.
I'm a happy camper now. ??
The 4.1 upgrade is from "any advanced product" as well as previous MPS bundles and you said that you already had 08A and 09A so either one of those gets you in the door. If you actually type GROUP in the discount code box it will knock it down a little further.
For future reference Izotope direct prices are always more than retailers, they told me years ago that it's done deliberately to avoid competing with the retailers because they're not likely to push the products if people can get just get it from Izotope for the same price, so it always pays to look elsewhere with Izotope.. JRR are usually there or thereabouts and are very approachable if you find a deal that they are not showing on their website. Ask for Uncle Eric and if it can be done, he will make it happen.

I just clicked on the Loyalty Upgrade section. It says I can upgrade to RX9 Advanced for $149 but I don't have any version of RX at all to upgrade from. Then when I click on 'More Information' it takes me to another screen and jacks the price up to $299. What a cluster****.
https://www.jrrshop.com/izotope-music-productionsuite-upgrade-advanced
Add code GROUP for further discount.
FWIW this has been as low as $125 in the last year. AFAIK That's usually about as low as it gets.
Whoever is responsible for Izotope's "loyalty upgrades" section is a dope. My account has been known to have upgrade offers for things I already have.

Bapu's level of punnery in this thread is so bad that I sent him an invoice for the time I wasted reading them.
He clearly didn't read it properly or he wouldn't have needed to ask......Bill ? Why man?

Can't say. I have a condition that prevents me from listening to c word music.

I think I might have once seen one of them in a discarded magazine that somebody had obviously only bought for the article on vintage cars.

I believe Cakewalk's major deficiency is the lack of an integrated, multi-purpose sampler.
I've long thought that the lack of plug and play compatibility that other DAWs seem to have with the various controllers available is the thing that must hurt them most in trying to attract new users and perversely maybe the fact that it's free. There's so much to learn when starting out that it's not difficult to imagine someone going for a paid alternative because the manufacturer of the controller they have their eye one at least kind of endorses it, if not actually giving you the junior version to get you started. It's easy enough to pick up some kind of sampler elsewhere, but a midi controller with a CW mode ? No chance it seems.
Free is great on the one hand, but on the other to the uninitiated it might say.....not very good. No such thing as a free lunch, right? Plus when we get something for nothing it's easier to give up on it at the first hurdle. Then again when it was a paid product clearly not enough people bought it to make it viable and that's why we are where we are. I'm ok with that. As long as it continues to work it does all that I need it to and I don't feel the need to consider looking elsewhere.

My wife rather wished I was watching porn instead of Thomann.de again
LOL.
I was visiting a friend one day when her mother turned up. She asked her where her husband was and without pause she said.." he's in the other room looking at porn on his computer.."
Well, there's honesty and there's honesty I thought......my face must have been a picture, but mother seemed totally un-phased by this declaration and set off in the direction of the other room to find him....
I guess the look on my face must have said it all, so when she stopped laughing (it took a while) she explained that he was researching camper vans, but such was his fascination with them that the family all referred to it as his version of porn.
