I have it but never use it. Forgot I had it until I saw this TBH. I'm not sure if that says more about it or me, but either way this isn't really a good deal considering that it can be bought almost year round as a part of the four pack bundle for not much more other than when they put the price up so that they can call the "reduced" price a sale.

Can't help with comparisons to OTS or AS as I don't have them.

They are both listed as Ltd. companies so AFAIK that means that they are legally separate businesses with no financial responsibility towards each other even though in reality they might effectively be the right pocket and the left pocket of the same individual's trousers as it were.

Sing your main vocal...  then do it again but whisper it.. then blend in.

I do that, sometimes a lower octave version too or even a somehow heavily mangled copy of the track. Basically anything to make it not sound so much like me.

The main thing I've learnt about mixing is........I should have paid more attention years ago when I thought that our mixing guy was just a nerd with no actual musical ideas that just sat twiddling knobs for no apparent reason. I always figured that we mostly just kept him because he had a van and didn't mind being the driver. If I'd given his craft more credit, I might have been halfway good at it by now.

Then again, he did seem to spend an awful lot of time twiddling knobs that made no apparent difference to anything.

The T&S user account was logged in here about 30 minutes ago, but it seems they chose not to comment. I would have thought that they would be keen to put a stop to any speculation that something is amiss. Not sure what to make of that.
