  1. Wielding not an issue for me as I won't be taking it anywhere. I'm not greedy, so a Fantom 7 would do. Just waiting for Larry to come up with a 50% off deal.?
  2. Thanks for the info. I did consider and haven't 100% written off the 88+ version, but I haven't actually seen one in the flesh so my main concern based on Nektar controllers that I have seen is with the build quality and 2020 hasn't made it easy to actually get in front of one. Good to know that it works though. Many of the more premium brands seem to ignore that CW exists and it seems there is always something that won't quite work properly with them.
  3. Hmmm.......I considered getting this to use as a midi controller, but then I think, well the RD2000 looks like it would be much better, then I think, if I'm going to pony up for that I might as well go the whole way and get the Fantom and then I think, no that would be stupid......you only need a midi controller and then I think...but most of them are like childrens toys, I want something better than that, so I think....I wonder if the RD88 might be the way to go..............
  4. He really should make a demo version of at least some things. The one thing that's always put me off going down this route.
  5. Both anti-maskers then......tut, tut........ Next you'll be telling me that they won't be queuing up to have their tracking devices and /or woefully untested drugs inserted into them vaccine?
  6. This was actually the first time for me that the upgrade process itself wasn't a PITA. It seems to work better for me to do the upgrade install manually (ie offline) and then open the standalone version before the VST version.
  7. I'd be happy just to have a decent quality midi controller keyboard that fully worked with CW.
  8. Yangqin is indeed very nice quality for a freebie, but I'm struggling to see where I'm ever going to actually use it. Still, it pads out the NI browser and makes it look a little more impressive I guess.
  9. Is he talking to me? I'm not an addict, am I? Or am I? I don't think I am, but someone said that addicts always think that...... Oh man, I don't know......... Oh, WTF.......Happy whatever to all you junkies.
  10. AFAIK it's a version that is usually bundled with their cheapo controllers. Can't see a way to get it direct from Arturia even though it's listed as a product. Oh well, I was only interested to see if it would give me a nice upgrade path to license the v4 demo. Looks like Larry got all the luck there.?
  11. Thanks for reply. I don't do FB and it just doesn't work for me using the email route - fill in the boxes etc, do the captcha (several times - it's FREE FFS) and then.......Oops something went wrong. Lost interest now - you know when something just seems like too much trouble....? but thanks for trying to help.
  12. I've been telling CW that for years......
  13. I thought Analog Lab Lite was the new name for Analog Lab 4......? Anyhoo, clicking on the link all I get to is a page asking if I want to hire a studio pro or to hire myself out as one, the answer to which is neither and no way to progress beyond that.
  14. UI not displaying properly for me no matter what size I select the text on the Layer/Effects/Browser selectors is too large, so is cut off.
  15. I heard that this was the original draft..... Dear Steinberg Customer, As a very difficult 2020 draws to a close, we're reminding you that we exist in case you have any money left.. We are arrogant enough to think that your Steinberg products have somehow made up for the fact that your lives have been been stolen and sincerely thank you for putting up once again with our total lack of support. Best wishes and here's hoping you'll buy more stuff from us next year because, let's face it....you won't be going out much.
  16. It's probably fed up of hearing you telling everyone that you like Studio One better..........
  17. Last I heard we're not even sure if craigb is his real name.
  18. Yup. As a rule they're about as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike.
