  1. Great shout out for Luftrum! I discovered Luftrum a few years back when I picked up iZotope's synth Iris 2 on sale. So then I started looking around for 3rd party libraries and stumbled across the Luftrum 10 soundbank for Iris. Further intrigued by this acquisition for Iris, I picked up his 1GB field recording sample library (Iris is a sample player engine with 4 sample slots and spectral filtering. etc.) for some roll your own fun. If you make a contribution to Luftrum, you will receive an unlimited license to use them anywhere, as well as a zip file of the sample collection. Since then, I have also acquired his soundbanks for u-he Repro and Arturia Pigments 3. And thanks to you for pointing out the latest sale, I now have Bioscape! This old video demo of his Luftrum 10 soundbank for Iris shows off Luftrum's special skills in sound design for atmospheres and soundscapes!
  2. AmpliTube 5.pak is 1.4GB and AmpliTube.app.pak is 969MB installed. And then there is the .exe and other stuff...
  3. That's just what always happens around here when the little boys and girls can't play nice. The moderators are generally invisible here, but just doing their job. Of course, you are free to be unhappy with the decision here, however the Cakewalk moderators have always had the final say. I've been to other forums where moderation if much more heavy handed, so by comparison off topic discussion is tolerated much more freely in this sub-forum. Just don't break the rules!
  4. "That" mod is a well respected, long-term member of the Cakewalk community. That remark was uncalled for. Unless you just feel lucky! ?
  5. It has mostly always been customary for the Cakewalk mods to lock threads when the rules are broken. Even Larry had one of his threads locked a while back after it turned a few shades of poly tick al. And I have never seen a singe one unlocked afterwards. However all of the content remains available after the offending posts are removed. And while I believe that this forum is not actually auto-moderated, it's always possible for someone to click on the little "Report post" link in the upper right-hand corner of any post. So that would make it community moderated. And no, it wasn't me!
  6. I do, and I posted my notes about 4 years ago regarding A-300PRO setup in that link to the old Cakewalk forum above. Please see my first reply to this thread. Just stating this here, in case you maybe overlooked that.
  7. And one more data point for this latest AT 5 version, this time I tested its performance in Studio One 5.4 rather than CbB. It showed about the same increase as with Cakewalk, so performance does not appear to be DAW related. So probably best to use "Freeze" when multi-tracking guitars with AT 5 on each guitar track. Or get a computer like Bapu has! ?
  8. However, AT 5.2.0 seems all good here in Studio One 5.4.0. No heavy CPU to report. AT5 is showing 11% CPU in a new project with the default preset.
  9. Since the update, I get this warning message EVERY time I launch AT5. Even when using it as a plugin, in a previously saved project. However, when I insert a new instance of AT5 into a project, no warning popup is issued.
  10. AT 5.2.0 is a 2.4GB download. Proceeding now.
  11. There's a few presets in Chromaphone 3 that do better with the voices cut down to 4. I suppose physical modeling is a bit heavier on the CPU than simple sample playback...
  12. Why not, LOL! $29 is in Waves giveaway territory!
  13. IMO, the AAS developers and company are among the best in the bunch! Say what you want, but these folks seem to stay on top of things, as well as offer occasional freebies and deals. Creating virtual instruments is no small task, and having bugs is par for the course. So it's how you deal with them that really matters!
  14. Already been done... Well not exactly, but close...
  15. They probably had no choice, what with the IK Group Buy bleeding everyone dry!
  16. So half price if you own ANY VG. Not a bad deal! The version 2 of VG features Player and Instrument modes, as well as drag and drop patterns into your DAW tracks. Carbon was the first VG to offer these extras that first found their way into the Virtual Basses v2.
  17. If you buy in at the $199 level, you will only see freebies priced at $199 and lower in the Promotions. All freebie crossgrades at $199 should be available. Best to check with Peter as to what is and is not available at crossgrade pricing in the promotions.
  18. So is the full symphony patch in Amadeus Symphonic Orchestra (programmed by Tracy Collins of Indiginus).
  19. IK does not have "upgrade" prices. However, if you already own an IK product with an MSRP of $99 or above, you will see "crossgrade" pricing for certain items at $199. If you bought a "crossgrade" for $199, you would enter the GB at the $199 level, not the full price.
  20. My point was just that Cakewalk needs to know where the folders are located. You can't JUST move them without breaking things! Directory junctions work very well, and are often faster to use than adjusting application preferences....
