Just to add to the last message I see here:

I see nothing at all on the waves website.

I received an email about this but the From address and the link in the email are at a different website, NOT the official waves website.  There is no way I'd click that link.

I also have no idea where to even find serial numbers. I checked Waves Central and I don't see them. I went to the website and I see 2 different numbers for each product, but it doesn't tell me what they are.

And there is nothing at all in there after I log in telling me that I need to do anything. If this was real I would expect to get that message as soon as I logged in and probably at the top of a few pages in their site.

And lastly, it doesn't say what will happen if we DON'T do this. Will all plugins stop working? No idea. So at this point I don't really know this is real.

Your Waves products that are already activated at Waves, or any that you have bought through the Waves store are not at risk. This email only pertains to product codes that you may have purchased through 3rd party distributors, but have not yet registered them at the Waves site.

I got this email too, and think this may be a rather shady move, and legally questionable, but if your Waves products are already authorized and working you can safely ignore the message.

If either of those companies employ a skilled user experience manager, you'd never know it from the actual user experience.

Even Waves Central moves in mysterious ways, but it's a unified experience once you get a grip on it. Waves has other issues, LOL!

I wish Steinberg would spend some time working on creating a better user experience during that process. I'm confident that it impacts sales.

They should just combine the Steinberg Download Assistant, Activation Manager, and Library Manager. Done!!! ?

Missed, or more likely, forgot about the triangle.

My memory is a bit foggy as well. But one of the most unique things about Supertramp was their attention to detail. Quite a memorable performance!

I forget which song it was, but as I recall the triangle setup took several minutes, and the result was a single "ting". Right on the beat! LOL!!! ?

Updated to Kontakt 7 and it's fine until I try and draw notes on the PRV ( rather then play/record them ) and then the note just sticks, and will continue to stick unless I hit the emergency all note off button in Kontakt ( ! )

Not sure if it's me or anyone else had this ?

Not here in Kontakt Player 7 (I have the full Kontakt 6, but haven't upgraded it yet).

Just loaded up the default preset in the Kontakt Play Series "25" to check, and the notes behaved normally in the PRV. Is this issue limited to one specific Kontakt instrument, or any?

    Impressive.

I'm still on Creative Triangle Techniques for Beginners.

I once watched Roger Hodgson with Supertramp in a 70's concert play a triangle hung from his mic stand. Quite a show, as he teased setting up the accessory for quite a bit before he actually played it. The crowd was begging for the big drop! :)

  7. It seems that current Best Service deals for Applied Acoustics Systems are not showing up in Music Software Deals.

MSD only shows the AAS deals at Audiodeluxe, JRRshop, & Pluginboutique. But if you set MSD options to "show expired deals", then Best Service listings shows up for AAS.

Here I thought this was going to be a spoof on tambourine playing!! But he was serious!!

    LOL!!!

Apparently there is something called musicianship that is required to be a real tambourine player! And here I had been thinking all along it was just something to keep a lead singer's hands busy and look cool... ?

So how many different articulations would you need on a virtual instrument to get it right???

I agree about the bass and guitar.

As for the voice, would you realize that it was synthesized if you heard it out of the context of this post?

Probably would have noticed something was off a bit with the voice, because I have listened to that song about 1,000 times, but maybe would not have realized it was synthesis. The instruments were so off the vibe that it was too distracting to concentrate on the voice...
