  1. There are 6 free add-ons available now: https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/all-dlc/total-war-warhammer?sortBy=relevancy&sortDir=DESC&count=40 FYI: If you add the free Assembly Kit, that requires the game to be purchased first. The other free add-ons do not.
  2. Got Sparkle as a freebie a couple years ago.
  3. There is a free version, as well as Pro for $29.99. https://intermorphic.com/wotja/downloads/
  4. Yes. Erik owns most of, and sampled all of, the vintage synths for IK Multimedia Syntronik. Not as well known as a musician as Jordan, but has released a number of albums. I was a bit surprised by his Keith Emerson-ish style skills in the above video. He was also co-designer of the Alesis Andromeda A6 analog synth, as well as the original IK UNO analog synth. https://eriknorlander.com/bio Jordan is the long-time keyboard player for Dream Theater. These days he can also be found all over the net doing promo videos for other products displaying his keyboard chops (he makes any instrument sound great), as well as promoting his music technology company, Wizdom Music. https://www.jordanrudess.com/
  5. Today is only Mar 27. Try again next weekend!
  6. Better equipment and playing ability then me all around! I guess that Erik is more prog rock, while Jordan is more prog metal... both great in their respective genres...
  7. https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/total-war-warhammer The critically-acclaimed Total War: WARHAMMER combines a turn-based campaign of epic empire-building with colossal and explosive real-time battles, set within the incredible world of Warhammer Fantasy Battles. Embark on campaigns of conquest as the valiant men of the Empire, the vengeful Dwarfs, the murderous Vampire Counts and the brutal Orcs and Goblins of the Greenskin tribes. Each Race is wholly different with its own unique characters, campaign mechanics, battlefield units and play style.
  8. Plus Erik co-designed the A6 for Alesis back in the 90's, and more recently sampled all of the synths used in IK Syntronik. I cannot afford a hardware collection like his, so I will have to make do with Syntronik Galaxy (the only Andromeda emulation that I am aware of).

  10. I have the Tracktion 106 RetroMod, but I uninstalled it a while back to save some disk space. That's the problem with sampled synths, they take up a lot of disk space, which can be a waste if you never use them. Unlike collecting modeled synths that take up very little space. The only sampled synths that still have a home on my system are those from the IK Syntronik. Erik Norlander has done an excellent job of sampling an extensive collection of vintage synths for IK. He was on the team that designed the original Alesis Andromeda analog synth in the 90's, so he knows a thing or two about synths. https://eriknorlander.com/bio
  11. That's true, but the message I got from the author is that you don't actually need more libraries to sound good, just the knowledge of how to use what you already have!
  12. I bought the first volume. Interesting concept! But orchestration is really only intended to make a good song sound better. Keep trying! You might try to find an available MIDI score of a well known song. Load that into your DAW and play around with orchestration using that. Should remove the writing and arranging pressure, until you are ready to apply the technique to your own creations...

    MODO BASS 2

    Ya, same here!
  14. I'm confused now. I though Computer Music was best? Their May issue is now out with a free Syntronik 2 J-60 included...
  15. Not sure how far one might get trying to emulate this organic sound with a conventional synthesizer using virtual analog waveforms and/or wavetables. Perhaps this effort might be better served with physical modeling, as used by the AAS Chromaphone 3 synth? Chromaphone 3 showcases eight physically modeled acoustic resonators. Mix and match strings, plates, drumheads, membranes, beams, bars, and tubes to reproduce real-life instruments or create original ones. I didn't see a pre-made handpan in the library, but it does have some cool preset examples of pitched percussion. Perhaps a starting point ...

  17. Just FYI, after you buy Komplete from iZotope, you will need to enter the provided activation code into your Native Access to activate and download your new NI products. They won't show up in the iZotope Product Portal.
  18. I already had the full Kontakt (crossgraded for 50% off at $124 a while back), and plenty of other keys, basses, guitars, & drums. Also have numerous FX such as Amplitube 5, T-RackS 5, Eventide, iZotope MPS 4.1, Kilohearts, Waves, etc. So I justified this $179 Komplete 13 deal solely on gaining Absynth, FM8, Massive X, Noire, Reaktor 6, Session Horns, and Session Strings. May take a look at the Session Guitarists, but already have that covered with Orange Tree Samples for Kontakt. For example, full retail for Massive X is $199, Noire $149, Reaktor 6 $199, etc. Plus a number of Massive expansions are included that retail for $29 each. I also installed all of the additional NI FX because they don't take up much space, and I was curious to see if any are better than any of the ones I have.
  19. I tried the Vital free version first, and then decided to support the developer by upgrading to Vital Pro. It's that good! Surge is also a great synth and has been around for many years. Definitely worth having around, but not as easy to use as Vital! I think that the Surge wave shaping reminds me of z3ta+.
  20. Same. But they have not updated the user manual in a significant way with new feature coverage since version 8. IMHO that's a big deal for a "once in a creative while" DAW. ?
  21. $179.10 (+ tax) with NERDS10 and I'm in !!! ?
  22. It's not a buyout, rather an internal reorg.
