  3. Ask @Peter - IK Multimedia
  4. Just curious as you never mentioned it, but how are you "playing" the instrument? Are you using an external MIDI controller, your PC keyboard as a virtual controller, or clicking on the plugin GUI?
  5. I'm confused because I think you said that your ears can hear the instrument sounds played correctly in real-time, but that is not captured in the real-time audio recording? The audio recording should be exactly the same as what you hear when playing the instrument. Edit: but if you are first trying to record the performance as MIDI, then you are trying to play that MIDI performance back and record that as audio, the problem probably lies in your MIDI file. The Ample guitars require keyswitches for the bends and slides, etc. If those are missing from the recorded MIDI performance, you would have issues with correct playback.
  6. OK, since this thread just got revived, I'll go ahead and toss this out there... P5 is a 32-bit only program, so you are limited to 32-bit plugins. Plus it will never be able to handle large memory plugins like a 64-bit host can. And it runs on a single thread only. But this product was ahead of its time, and it's really a shame that it never got updated to modern technical standards... ?
  7. As I stare at my 1000+ plugin collection, assuring myself that I'm cured... ?
  8. Nothing against Cherry here, as they all sound good IMO. I have the Voltage Modular Core, several module bundles, and a growing list of their synths. Where Arturia wins is in the art/graphics category, as well as with the Arturia Software Center. Cherry sure needs one of those download managers at this point, because it's becoming a hassle to update your Cherry synths manually one at a time.
  9. Are you following this for soft synth audio recording? https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR&language=3&help=SoftSynths.27.html
  10. I wonder if this Group Buy is just a trick for us OCD types to get us to the halfway mark, so we will then have to pony up and buy MAX, or the next Total Studio? ?
  11. I wonder how it compare to TRK-01 from Native Instruments? That seems to have a fairly comprehensive kick sampler/synth.
  12. Silly rabbit, kicks are for trids...
  13. I'm definitely in for $99. Other than that, I can wait for a deal... ?
  14. Add that one to a very long list of "duh-huhs" or WTF's from IK over the years as to who made "that" decision. Conclusion is that some of their product managers must not use the products themselves... ?
  15. I was tempted by CV-1, but I am trying to stick to one modular synth (Voltage Modular), just to avoid additional distractions! I already suffer from too many synths! ? I am a big fan of AAS, and have Chromaphone 3 with all add-ons, and Ultra Analog VA-3 with nearly all add-ons. Great stuff! ?
  16. Thanks to you for recently sharing that option with me! That feature alone unlocks the huge potential of a 3rd party plug-in collection. Lately I have been experimenting with using my Kilohearts plug-ins (snap-ins) and Snapheap inside the Voltage Modular Mini Plug-in Host. And others... Not all play nicely inside VM, but it's still good fun to see what works!
  17. Probably the best advice. ? But Cherry Audio VM isn't so bad on that count either, if you just jump all the way into Voltage Modular Core for $94.96. https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/1-Instruments/4-Synth/5033-Voltage-Modular-Core-Electro-Drums You won't get bored very fast with 105 modules and 600 presets. But if you do get bored with VM Core, the Year Two Collection is on sale for $100 right now. https://store.cherryaudio.com/bundles/cherry-audio-year-two-collection And if that's not enough to fill your GAS, there is also the Year Three Collection on sale for $99. https://store.cherryaudio.com/bundles/cherry-audio-year-three-collection
  18. 39 participants to #15. There have been about 2 new participants average per hour since yesterday afternoon.
  19. Looks interesting. https://jouemusic.us/pages/an-expressive-multi-instrument But It does seem to require an extra $50 Pro option to get software that lets you configure custom MIDI mapping, MPE etc. https://jouemusic.us/pages/joue-play-pro-option So it would cost something like $300 + shipping (or$345 + shipping direct from Joue). I wonder if there is a US distributor in order to avoid paying for international shipping to US from Thomann?
  20. I tried copying a v1 Multi (as an example) into Syntronik 2 and it worked. But since it loaded v1 presets, I was unable to access the Edit page from the instruments in that particular Multi. But as a test, I was able to create and save a v2 Multi of my own from Syntronik 2. Good stuff!
