  1. Well, here's hoping that IK extends the GB to next month!
  2. Well the point here is that many of the factory multis have assigned presets from several different Syntronik synth models, up to 4. You would need to have all synth models installed in order to effectively be able to access all of the factory multis. Else you would get an error whenever loading a multi that was created using a synth that you don't have. Apparently somebody at IK made the call that it would be unsuitable to release "broken" factory multis out of the box. I tend to agree with that... But you are still free to create multis of your own with the synths in your collection, and then save and recall them. The multi feature has not been crippled.
  3. Still waiting on the $99 upgrade here. But there's a rather lively discussion of opinions on VC9 over at KVR forums. A couple of videos have been posted:
  4. I would contact Arturia customer service to inquire about a grace period for that purchase. I heard of somebody making a deal with them in similar circumstances. It won't cost anything to ask!

    MODO BASS 2

    ...or the next TSM Maxgrade!
  6. The upgrade from VC8 is $199 if you don't yet own the SQ80 V. That synth came out after VC8 was released, so it is "extra". The upgrade is $149 for those with VC8 + the SQ-80 V.
  7. I created a new folder on the desktop, and put my synth icons in that. Less clutter on the desktop...
  8. That's still less than $14 per synth. Better than Waves!!! ?
  9. I think that the Orange Tree workflow might be more intuitive for those well into the Kontakt ecosystem. But Ample does offer some unique tools, free of the NI constraints!
  10. Trademark CYA? Don't think Arturia synths are officially endorsed by Oberheim.
  11. I don't have the Orange Tree Pear to compare it to. But I have a couple of other Orange Tree guitars, that sound great! Orange Tree is excellent for sample quality and sound! The Ample Bass Upright (ABU) tuning pegs will let you tune down up to -2 semitones. Tuning is fully compatible with strummer, tab and all articulations. Also has capo support. It simulates the real bass capo. It can transpose the pitch without changing the fingering. https://www.amplesound.net/en/pro-pd.asp?id=21 Manuals > https://www.amplesound.net/en/manual.asp Demo version has 7 day Trial Period with full features. You don't need a keycode. Downloads are here (plugin installer + library installer), check it out: https://www.amplesound.net/en/download.asp
  12. Just guessing, since it isn't a version upgrade, that it's just maintenance for browser compatibility with Analog Lab. Analog Lab got some enhancements to incorporate VC 9.
  13. I would like to update to the new Analog Lab V, but something tells me to wait for the first patch release...
  14. Wait for Black Friday, or something like that. Cannot remember exactly when Arturia runs their deals... In the meantime, you get a free update to Analog Lab!!!
  15. All of the VC8 instruments have updates, except for the 3 that were re-worked for VC-9.
  16. Received this by email this morning:
  17. And Arturia Software Center just updated. I can see updates for Pigments, Analog Lab 4 & V, and all of the VC8 synths except for the CS-80 V3, Piano V2, & Prophet V3 (the synths that were re-worked for V9).
  18. My "special offer" is to upgrade V8 to V9 for $199. And I also have Pigments and a KeyLab Mk II.
