I'm not a lawyer, but it's been a fairly common practice to use the sounds provided in a product any way that you see fit, as long as it's in YOUR own music productions. The legal problems would likely begin if you tried to distribute the sounds "as-is" as sample packs or otherwise, or develop software using a modified version of the licensed software. The Arturia license agreement only seems to be concerned with the software itself, such as this "No Unbundling" clause: But as you say, customer support should be able to clear up any doubts. But I wouldn't personally be losing any sleep by using the sounds to make music with.

Somewhere along the way, AIR released revised installers that placed an older version of the Pace iLok client on your system, regardless of whether you already had the latest iLok installed. These did not play well with Windows 10 and created a lot of reported issues such as yours. There was a big to-do where Plugin Boutique had to pull all the affected downloads until AIR got it fixed. You will notice that the AIR Music site now has 2021 updates for many of those installers, listed as: "performance enhancements for Windows 10".

There are easier ways to get samples. For one example, Computer Music magazine releases GBs of sample packs every month.

There are roughly two schools of thought for installing VST2 plugins... Let the installer put them wherever they want to. Then locate every existing VST2 folder path and make sure they are added to the DAW plugin scan paths. Use one common VST2 plugin folder, and ensure that EVERY plugin installer uses that one. Set that path as the DAW plugin scan path.

Well, that's interesting. The samples for Augmented strings are stored as common *.wav files, rather than encrypted files, as many companies use for their proprietary sample libraries. They open in any wave player, so I guess you could use them anywhere that you might import samples to. For example, Pigments! Found them here on my PC (I keep all of my Arturia content installed on a separate drive): "D:\Arturia\Samples\Augmented STRINGS\Factory\Samples"

Ha! Guess what? I did just that using the free Musescore 3 notation editor! I binged the 3 original Matrix films again prior to the release of Resurrections. I agree that the first was the best!!! #1 is still in the queue for a re-run soon!

I still have my good 'ol Mackie 1202 VLZ in the closet somewhere... Had some cool jam sessions in my home studio with my buddies back in the 90's using that thing. Connected a couple of synth keyboards, drum machine, 2 guitars, an XLR mic, and a bass through that. Output to stereo amp and consumer audio speakers. Couldn't afford any pro audio monitors yet. Just a guess, but some folks probably aren't using the balanced 1/4" inputs from a balanced audio source. My old M-Audio interface was unbalanced output only, even using the 1/4" outputs. So when I upgraded my monitors to a pair of KRK Rokits, with balanced 1/4" TRS inputs, the connection was a bit noisy. Ended up going with a Focusrite 2i2 USB interface with balanced 1/4" TRS outputs. All good now!

Also Insight 2 and Nectar 3 Plus.

50 watts, front headphone jack, even has 1/4" balanced inputs, as well as unbalanced 1/8" and RCA inputs. Nice! Optional 200 watt sub-woofer for $229.

Well, just ran into my first Syntronik 2 dud... the Minimod. ? Quick highlights: Very few new v2 presets in this one. I'll give them credit for them. as the few new ones actually do sound great! But one issue, only ONE of them is a lead!!! For an emulation of the most famous lead mono synth ever? Instead it's loaded with polyphonic bling. Oh well, good thing you can edit the feature creep away with your own presets. But sheesh, it's more like a showcase of "look what we can do in software now".
