Thanks for listening and feedback. Sorry for the late reply. I don't get any emails from Cakewalk anymore, and forgot to check this one. It is indeed metal with me trying to "rap" to it. (I used "" as this is my very 1st attempt on doing it, so didn't wanna call what I did rap.) All the best.

I have definitely cut back due to finances. I'm also at a point that if it isn't Console1 compatible (so mostly down to Softube and UAD, and I have most of the C1 compatible plugins), I'm not that interested anymore. They are not on the cheap end of the scale most of the time either. I did upgrade to Softube Volume 6, and is the only plugin purchase the past year (I believe). I don't feel like I'm lacking anything plugin wise either, so don't feel I'm missing out when new and good deals are presented. All the best.

Thanks for another listen and feedback, John. All the best,

Thanks for listening and positive feedback, Larry. I just (5 mins ago) replaced the mix with one with a little more vocals, and a few other minor tweaks. All the best.

Thanks for listening and feedback, Gary. (If we all liked the same music, it would be boring ?) The vocals are already pretty compressed (several times), but I'll take a look and perhaps up them a little. All the best.

Thanks for listening and feedback. All the best.

Thanks mate! And thanks again for lending me your ears ?

New mix is up with a few tweaks as suggested above. @Wookiee I somehow had inserted a de-esser on the kick fx channel, killing most of the bottom of the kick.

Thanks for listening and positive feedback, Jack. I tried to use a different kind of voice throughout the song, as the original is performed by several people. All the best.

Thanks for listening and feedback, Wooks. I'm gonna try to get some more oomph in the drums. I'll also try to remedy the vocals. All the best.

This is the original: Remember the name on YT

Hi. I thought I'd try something I've never tried before, which is to "rap". I think the original song is cool (Remember the name by Fort Minor), so thought, why not give it a go, so here it is. Feedback is appreciated. All the best. To add: I've tried to remedy some masking issues that were pointed out to me by Charlie Roy (from the old forum) on his Mixing and Mastering tips forum on FB.

I've had the same issue at times, and what you need is the NI Uninstall Tool found here: https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003509269-Fixing-Software-Update-Installation-Issues-Windows- You need to search for the plugin (can skip/search with "R" for Replika).

Hi peeps. Long time etc.. I got a "new" cat from the animal shelter this past Sunday, after having to put down my old cat (She was over 17 years old) last month. It's a 5 year old female indoor cat that doesn't get along with other cats, or small kids, so it's been hard to get someone to adopt her. Her name was originally "Missy", but I could change the name when I adopted her. Her name is now Reidun, which is an old Norwegian name, and always reminds me of old cranky ladies She's a bit of a weirdo (which I love), but she's loving it here already.

Hi. I am in a bit of the same situation as antler, but the Pro-Channel plugins are actually very good. I still think the CA2A is one of the best LA2A plugins I've tried and got. And I've got quite a few. UAD's LA2A's comes above the CA2A though, IMO. All the best.

Have a great time, Larry. Enjoy! All the best.

I Am quite certain that NagBap 3.0's algorithm might be tougher though ?

It is totally legitimate. Ed and I have made such a transaction in the past. It is nothing more than a purchased serial nr from Thomann, that hasn't been registered anywhere. Toontrack has been paid by Thomann for their bundles, and Thomann has been paid by Ed.

Thanks mate! The solo is sidechained to the acoustic guitar that plays the verses, so fades out/compresses more when that guitar comes in. Perhaps too abruptly? The next part is a verse, so is on most my songs naturally lower in volume. The pic is of my wife and I on our wedding party for our friends. We kept them apart from the families

New mix is up with more snare and kick in the choruses, and lowered the 1st verse vocals a little after another suggestion.

Thanks for listening, and feedback mate?

A new mix of this song is up, after getting it reviewed by Warren Huart (worked with anything from James Blunt, to KoRn, founder of Produce like a Pro etc.) on the monthly Produce like a Pro Feedback Friday Members Originals in February. I've done my best. Feedback is appreciated. All the best.
