  1. Thinking the same as I am a guitar player too. However, using Guitar Pro, these become more than just layering for patches. These would make great additions to a songs as guitars! The sound quality is just "there"!

Does this ever go on sale? Steinberg wants $179 for it right now. Says it's regularly $299. If I wait it out will it get better? Or is this as good as it gets?
  3. I still have my Surface Pro 3 that came out in 2015. It's still on Win10, but it is still very usable. I have CW installed on it and ED3, EZB, EZK, BiaB, and all of AAS stuff along with other plugins. Works fine as a scratch pad while I am at work. Take it on vacations with us. I'm still getting my money's worth out of it. Looking at a Surface Pro 9. They got one with an i7 1255U at Bestbuy for around $1600. The Surface 3 I got now has 2 cores 4 threads and does everything I want it too. And I have never reinstalled Windows in it since I got it. It came with Win8 with a free upgrade to 10. Have been updating it ever since. Really have gotten good service for it. Drawing on it is so much fun!!
  4. And another part of that equation was that these recordings that were recorded with the "X" model/version of that hardware sold millions of copies. So it wasn't just "someone's" technique people are after. The ones that finance these recordings said, "Make it sound like this (or that)". So the ones doing the recording (ie: their job) used the equipment needed to get the job done, that sound. We have all become accustomed to the sound of that hardware gear. So we all have a tendency to gravitate to the stuff that we like the sound of. At least that's the case for me. Can we get the same results using only digital signal processors? I am sure we could come close. So close I wouldn't be able to pick it out from crowd of others created with vintage digital emulations. Others might. But I don't think I could. But I was just working with the GEM EQ 550. That thing does do a great job. I don't care what it's emulating. I like what I hear. Exactly. Yep. My point above. I want to think that I have moved beyond wanting to emulate the sound of something. I am going for what sounds good to me. BTW, I still use Waves C1. Great comp, easy to use, clean and clear.
  5. This is how we learn!! It was kept civil, so please proceed!! I am enjoying it. Mostly because I get to hear others opinions (and this includes yours or an opposing view), and how they express that opinion, this helps me come to a better understanding of the why.
  6. Will you be able to really do that? I mean, they are there!! (I would't be able to hold off!!)
  7. Ask that my self all the time. LOL!!!
  8. Yes this is my understanding also. I can't see them having a EZX without Midi.
  9. Agreed. I was just over at the TT Forum and man everybody screaming for a new version!! But still, as it is, it's a great tool.
  10. Soundwise maybe. Easy of use for non-playing users.... if there are any, they are few and far between. And these are full versions of EZ Keys. Great way to get into the Toontrack eco-system
  11. Spoke with the live chat person (Harry or Henry, I forgot) and he said these are the full versions. So I got three of them!
  12. Is this the full version of these titles? Or a lite version? I got the email and and didn't see any info that I could tell if they were lite versions. So I came here to see if anyone was talking about them.
  13. I got the Retro Keys pack. And I thought I had the Mello keys expansion too. But it's not in my account. SO I am off on a wild goose chase looking to see if I bought it (which I am sure I did) on a Christmas sale from a third party seller and just never registered it!? IDK
  14. I was thinking the same thing!! I do like Overloud.
  15. Have a great time Larry. You deserve it!! Safe travels.
  16. I like the Chorus a lot. Lots of control to tweak it like you need/want. It's one of my favorite chorus. The VU Meter is also nice. And song Key is usable.
  17. LOL!!! That was a good one!
  18. This is a really good song. Love how he builds it up to the end.
  19. Yep. Get the info to him so it can be fixed.
  20. Yep. Still working too. For those that don't know ^^^ this is the process. You will have to go through the payment method , like Larry points out above, before the code can be entered. At that point everything in your cart gets slashed 50% off!! However, I picked up the HSU cab set and was offered RVXX for half price $17 (it's not on sale right now) and when I went to check out, that amp was still $17 after I applied the code. So be mindful of that. Seems the code (AA-BF-22) only works for some things.
