It's a pretty competitive industry these days, so it's gotta be a tough gig for them to keep coming up with ideas to drive profits..

I have plenty of plugins and instruments from them, so I have no interest in this deal and no need to have the latest plugins as soon as they release them, so I'll definitely be sitting this one out.

Yeah that's a tough gig alright!

I got plenty from them already, I will sit this one out and wait and see.

    How was the show?

It was great Bapu. He really is a great story teller in his song writing.

He has a song called "You Got To Me" that I just love. As he sings it I find myself just thinking and imagining myself in that situation he is singing about. He did that song at the gig and it just blew me away.

Choctaw Bingo is undoubtedly his biggest hit, and he really rocked it out that night. Extended solos for him and the other guitarist.  Best version of that song I ever heard.

But I don't think it's his best song. He has some really deep songs. You just got to listen to them and be open to the story.

The place I seen him at is a small venue. Really small. But it was agreat place to see him. He sang a song with just him and his guitar. No mic, no amp, no PA. Just him playing and singing.

  3. Sitting in the parking at The Red Dragon Listening Room. Very small venue.

Waiting for the show. I really like this guy. Great story teller. Really good melodies too.

His biggest hit is Choctaw Bingo

The album it's from has some great songs on it. He recorded one of his latest albums "Complicated Games" in NOLA. That's  a really good album too.

Got to wake up at 3:45. Work calls. Man I am getting too old for this! What was I thinking when I bought them tickets.

    Oh well. Here we go!!

I have a valid excuse 60 moves in 35 years 8 times around the world to 4 different countries/states in those said countries. I'm sticking to that excuse, for now :).

    That a valid reason.

Damn!  Running from the law?  ?

LOL!! That was a good one!

  5. Damn bit, sorry to hear of your struggles. Glad the gig was great. Yep that makes it worth it... maybe!

Working in the house on the step ladder, coming down I missed a step and never thought nothing of it. But the next day I felt something in my back, nothing bad. Until I went to pick up my left leg to get.out the car. Oh dat hurt. Went to work and had to take BC powder to make ut through and Advil PM at night.

I just don't feel this old. My body keeps arguing with me. I think I am gonna let it win this one.

  6. My Hall Of Shame

1998: I got CWPA and for next two years I recorded< mixed, re-recorded and mix that song. Was about to start all over again when my 11 year old son came out his room and said, " Dad, it's done." Realizing I had spent way too much time on it, I did not restart the project. It did take me several more moths to finally get a mix I was happy with.

Fast forward to last week: I found the original stems of that song. I am really contemplating replacing the drums, and maybe the piano, and maybe the rhythm guitar, and maybe the...
