    UAD Half Year Sale!

I bought a 3+1 bundle recently in this sale, used the coupon they gave me and found that they sent me another $25 off coupon. So it happened for me. So with that $25 off coupon I got the Helios 69 channel strip. I just looked and I have another $25 off coupon ready to be used!! [edit] forgot to add that these are time limited coupons. Have to use mine by 19Jul20.
  4. He is correct Zo. Even with the smaller packs with the player, you can use them just like it was the full version. You just won't have access to all the amps and presets of the full version. All you get it what ya pay for.
  5. That sounds like a hint to me!!! What you saying?

    Waves 25% Off WUP

Think I will hold out another year on WUP. Something may change in the mean time.

I tried this Larry and it's not working for me. I have Mercury, which is really what I want to update, that expired in Sep2019. I also have AR Saturator that expires in Jan2021, AR Studio 3 that expires in Dec2020, and Inspire Instrument Collection that expires Dec2020. WHen I select Mercury and any of the three that hasn't expired, it jacks the price up by $140 and tells me: Your Waves Update Plan exceeds the $240 cap due to either selecting multiple identical licenses, or the coverage you’re about to purchase is for more than 1 year for some of the selected licenses. So, I'm back on the fence trying to decide if I want to do this now or next year.

That's what would happen to me too. I would get everything extended to 2022
  9. I agree, the sound samples sounded really kool. Picked this up. Use 6 Jam Points to lower cost to little over $13. No-brainer here!!
  10. This is a new Soundset for ST4? I got ST4 MAX, don't know if this is part of the deal. Yes this is something new. I read down a little further.

    UAD Half Year Sale!

Looking myself!!The Quad cards brand new are $800, and the Octa is just $300 more for double processing power. So if ya gonna spend $800, might as well save/ponie up for the Octa.

I really love almost all my Waves plugins. Always using them too. Version updates help with maintaining compatibility with updated OS versions. Us that's been on Win 10 haven't really noticed anything. But Mac users might have. I am still on the fence about my WUP. $155 to get everything to v11 would last a few more years. Most of my plugins are v10, but I still have some v9 stuff. The two license deal wouldn't help me all that much. So I have to think about it. I haven't said I would *never* WUP, but this isn't really an easy choice. I would get a voucher for $180, but like @RSMcGuitar was saying, how would I use that? I got everything! And with the limitations/restrictions of the voucher.... meh. Not much of an incentive.
  15. I can't reach the site. Keeps telling me I have no internet connection when I do, and then it tells me that the network has changed. Never heard of that one. Looks like a kool little plugin.
  16. Yep, sure would!!
  17. Looking at what's included on the JRR site it shows this: Includes: Analog Mastering Tools - More Info Analog Signature Pack - More Info Blue Tubes Dynamics Pack - More Info Blue Tubes Effects Pack - More Info Blue Tubes Equalizers Pack - More Info Blue Tubes Analog TrackBox - More Info BlueVerb DRV-2080 - More Info Essential Studio Suite - More Info Liquid Bundle II - More Info Motown Retro Bundle - More Info British Bundle - More Info PulseTec EQs - More Info All-Tech EQ - More Info Rock Amp Legends - More Info ECHOES - More Info MAGNETIC II - More Info That's why I was wondering about Cosmos. Where did you get that info Larry?
  18. Good deal here. This doesn't look like it has Cosmos with it like it did the last time. This is really a good deal for the amount of plugins. These remind me of the Sonitus plugins, just can't beat 'em.

Did you checkmate Koby at everyplugin.com? He can tell you your best option. Hey, you got two licenses now!! Don't forget that!! Koby could take me from $180 to $155. Haven't decided yet to make the WUP. Itnwould bring everything to v11, and two licenses, I can't forget that!!
  20. Yep.

Agreed. For the price they ask? No, they don't offer enough to make it worth any Bang-For-The-Buck investment. Yep. This is just me thinking out loud, but if they offered WUP like they do the $29 plugins, they may have another steady stream of income.

    UAD Half Year Sale!

Yes the Apollo gets hot. This surprised me how warm it got. Same with my old RME Fireface. It gets hotter than I expected it too. I was looking at a octo PCIe card to go with the Twin. The price wasn't that much more than the quad, so I figured why not just go for that. Did not think of the heat issue in the box. Going do some research.

    UAD Half Year Sale!

RME is another example. I have both. Well said Tommy. Carlos, I am a tightwad, and will try to get by as cheap as I can. But what I have found out doing this for some years is what Tommy said that I quoted. I learned that with guitars very early on. Same thing with amps, and mics, and so on. You get what you pay for. And I have great amps, and guitars, and mics. Guess where my weak link was? Recording signal chain. The UA Apollo Twin solved that problem. So believe me when I say I understand your point in that looking at it from outside the "UA Environment" it looks as though you will spend lots of money for.... not much return. No bang for buck. I had a chance to buy a UAD-2 Quad for a real good price, but passed it up. And the reason was I didn't want to get sucked down what I thought would be a money pit. Today, I regret that decision. Another thing I found unexpectedly from using the Unison Technology is that I can go straight/print to tape. I did not think that was an option I would use. But I always struggled with getting my vocals to sit right in a mix. Using the Neve 73 channel strip, I was able to hear what this could really do. Vocals sounded clear, focused, and on top from the very beginning! Exactly what I had be fighting with. This alone will save me many hours of struggle. Then I did the same vocal on the API and the SSL, and all three had different character, but still maintained the clarity and focus I had always missed. After hearing these results, I quickly concluded that there is no problem for me to go straight to tape!! In fact, I'm better off! : ) I could go on and on with other things, but the point being I was a non believer until I heard, until I listened!! Zo, I have RME too. And I can get good results mic'ing and DI (same time) my guitar performances with my old Fireface. But I have not yet put the RME and the UA Unison Technology side by side with my guitar. That's the next thing on my list of to-do's. I wonder how the speakers play a part in this. I only have KRK V6's as monitors. My amps have 12" Celestion's.
