From my days using Corel-Draw I've have learned that lesson well and I've found most Drawing Programs were like that too. You reach a point where you need to save routinely as your drawing got more complicated. Also when I was using Finale routinely I got in the habit of saving more frequently as my project got larger. As much as we have progressed with computer software some things have remained the same

I think the plus for MP2 is if that it can be used in Sampletank, at least I think so. Agree there are probably better options out there now but for the simple type of stuff I do it fits my needs at the moment. GPO is a nice small footprint for building your own orchestra mock ups to learn orchestration. The community college in the area used it for a class over 12 years ago along with Finale. I wanted to take the course but at the time it conflicted with my work schedule

I have Garritan and it was a nice library especially with Finale notation but updates are not in the picture. They haven't any news on their site since 2019!

If you don't have a nice Orchestra library then it isn't a bad purchase. Is it the best out there? No IMHO, but for most of us that are not Jerry composing Symphony pieces it does the trick. Heck I would love to have Vienna Cube but I don't have $$$$ for it.

Funny, my BIL, as an adult wishes he learned notation. He looks at me taking lead sheets and playing like it is no big deal. He can't grasp the Chord concept. I think basic notation should be a requirement in schools like letters and numbers. But heck we fund sport programs not music programs ?
