Midi Event Triggered - But Not Written on Clip / Track
Stephen Power replied to Stephen Power's question in Q&A
Thanks for your reply. I had a look in the events view but I couldn't see it. But, to be honest, I'm always baffled looking at it - I'm never sure if I'm seeing what I should be seeing! -
In Cakewalk by Bandlab, I've got a strange thing happening with a midi event (a single Bodhrán beat) being triggered at bar 42, in the image, but I can't see that the beat is written anywhere in the PRV. Can anyone suggest why this is happening and is there a way to remove it or work around it please? Thanks for any suggestions.

SOLVED: Kontakt Windows Not Opening Fully - Then CbB Freezes
Stephen Power replied to Stephen Power's question in Q&A
Thanks again. I tried it, but no change. I'm not convinced I'm editing it correctly. I found the manual with the parameter, but as an alien visitor to this world, it is not in my language. -
SOLVED: Kontakt Windows Not Opening Fully - Then CbB Freezes
Stephen Power replied to Stephen Power's question in Q&A
Thank you very much. No, it's not a 4K screen (1080p). I did change the scaling back to 100% as it had been around 175%. When I first tried Kontakt following that change, the window for Options was perfect, but then it went back to being squashed, but not sure why. The windows for Instrument Option etc remained squashed all the time. Can you please advise me on where to be in in order to make the changes in your quote? Is that in Cakewalk or Windows? -
This is a follow-up issue to one I have recently posted in the Kontakt area of this forum. The issue may not be with Kontakt at all, as the problem does not occur in the Standalone version - only in Cakewalk by Bandlab (latest version). If I make a selection from the GUI of Kontakt (not an instrument), such as file>options or click on 'Instrument Options' or 'Group Editor', the corresponding window only partially opens, and I can't see it completely. Then when I click on it, it flashes, won't close and I have to close the Cakewalk project and re-open Cakewalk to start again. I today, updated Kontakt and re-installed it, but it made no difference. As mentioned, the standalone version works with no issues, which makes me think it's a CbB issue. Any suggestions are very welcome.

Thanks for the reply. I am (was) trying to do what you did. The instrument options window only partially opened in Cakewalk (as shown in my attached image). I couldn't see any of the options fully and 'snapshots' not at all - and then everything froze when I clicked on it. I tried the stand-alone version of Kontakt 7 and the IO window opened fully, and I was able to import the snapshots and they worked fine. Back in Cakewalk, I had to open a new version of Kontakt and the presets were loaded. But, on clicking the Instrument Options button, it was diminished as before everything froze again. Other windows don't produce the same issue - but some do. So, there must be (I assume) something wrong with the way my version of Kontakt has installed in Cakewalk. Maybe?
-
I'm new to using Kontakt 7 and I'm trying to install Snapshots for Abstrung 1.2 via the 'Instrument Options' tab (I've had the same issue with other instruments). When I click 'Instrument Options', I get a tiny window that won't expand and is too small to see the options inside it. If I click that window, it and the main Kontakt panel freeze. I can't close them down, and Cakewalk also freezes and can't be closed, until I go into Task Manager and end task. Does anyone have a solution for this? All suggestions appreciated.

Thank you for the help. I had duplicated the clip before posting here, but somehow thought it was not as precise as looping, but I could be wrong. I'm not actually sure of the difference.

I have stretched an audio track of recorded violin sounds to about 240% (ctrl+shift drag), and now I want to loop it in Cakewalk by Bandlab. But, the 'Groove Clip Looping'option is now greyed out (I could use it before the track was stretched). Does anyone know of a way I can loop the stretched track please? Thanks for any suggestions.

I've only just seen this! Downloaded and will print out shortly. Brilliant thanks again @Glenn Stanton

I'll have a look, thank you! I'll remember to check the box if I create my own Master. I'm still not sure why the template one vanished, though.
-
Sorry, but would you indulge me one more time on this, please Glenn? If I need to put instrument reverbs through a room reverb (as I'm doing in my image in the OP), does this cause the issue you mentioned above? I've got all the instrument reverbs being sent to the room reverb, which then goes into the Master. Should I be doing it another way? Thanks again.

Deleted, @Glenn Stanton please see below

Thanks again. I had updated my previous reply as you were posting your answer. Could you have another look when you get the time, please?

That's (mostly) very clear, thank you very much. Two questions please... 1. If I have more than one track of a similar instrument group (e.g. 3 whistles in the case of my image in the OP, or perhaps various strings), I assume it's OK to send all of those tracks to a bus with the same EQ and reverb? 2. In your explanation...Is the 'send' on the track module or on the Master bus module?
-
Thank you. See my reply to @pwal³ regarding the Master Bus. It vanished (I don't know how) and so I created a new one. I assume that's why all the other were going to OUT? I did try setting up aux tracks, but 1) It was getting very crowded on the track view and console view, and 2) I couldn't 'control' them as easily. I'll keep studying.
-
Thanks for that. I thought they automatically went to the Master bus, but they are going to Out1 + Out2, and the Master Bus had disappeared. I had to add it in. Not sure why that happened.
-
I'm just getting my head around routing reverb with sends. it's taken me two days to get as far as the image below, and it may not be perfect (or even correct), but seems to be working. What I can't work out though is when the reverb terminates (i.e. does not go to another bus), where DOES it go? For example, the Tin Whistle reverb goes to the Room VERB in the image. But, the Room Verb goes to Out 1 + Out 2 (Behringer AI), as does the Master Bus. But, should the Room reverb go to the Master bus, and then to Out1 + Out2. Thanks for any help. Please bear in mind that this has taken a long time for this noob to work out (overall, probably months). So if it's workable, generally, please don't have me try and learn something completely different.

Recorded Audio (Saxophone) Playing Back at Least a Tone Lower than Played
Stephen Power replied to Stephen Power's question in Q&A
I couldn't find any. But I've set it in Windows sound settings.
