Again, thank you all so much. Your sentiments are all very thoughtful and much appreciated. I just found out that there will be an honor guard from the Navy and from the fire dept. as well at his funeral. I won't be able to hold it together when they play Taps and fire the salute. He deserves the honors though. Thanks again guys.

Hey guys, thanks so much. I really appreciate it. Bob Oister, I'm sorry for your loss as well, man.

I just wanted to post this tribute to my Dad. He passed away Monday, February 4, 2019 at 2:45am. He was 77. He served aboard the USS Intrepid CV-11 aircraft carrier from 1959-1963. He was involved in the Cuban Missile Crisis, and was also involved in retrieving astronaut Scott Carpenter when he returned to Earth. After that, he was a firefighter for 33 years, retiring in 2000, after suffering back injuries from falling through one too many roofs. He was a true hero, and I miss him terribly. Thanks for letting me post this. I love you, Dad.

The first album was definitely my favorite. I wore that album out. Candy-O and the newer ones were okay, but didn't hold a candle to the debut album IMO.

I think I have monitor envy

I'm very sorry John. I had a very similar experience a couple years ago. It hurts intensely. Time is the only thing that helps. Keep the avatar.

Nice job on this Spak. Definitely a cool interpretation. My dad's name is John, and he used to play this 45 all the time when I was little. I always pretended the song was about him. I just downloaded the original song about a month ago. First time I've heard it in close to 40 years. Your version takes it in a whole different direction. Very imaginative interpretation!

Is 192kHz hi-res audio recording in studio worth it?
Leadfoot replied to Øyvind Skald's topic in The Coffee House
For me, it's not even necessarily for the benefit of those that may notice the difference. I work hard to make my songs the best that I can make them. I record at 24/96 because I want them to represent my efforts as accurately as I possibly can. I want them to sound as good as I'm able to for MY benefit, more than anyone else's. -
Tweak Peaks with PSP Twin-L - our brand new dual algorithm classic limiter!
Leadfoot replied to Michael Docy's topic in Deals
Big PSP fan here also. I just got a plug from them a couple months ago. I didn't realize they went back to iLok. Too bad. I loved their authorization process. It wouldn't stop me from buying more of their plugs. They make some of the best plugs IMO. -
Is 192kHz hi-res audio recording in studio worth it?
Leadfoot replied to Øyvind Skald's topic in The Coffee House
Personally 24/96 is the highest that I go. Any higher than that is too taxing on my system and takes up too much space on my hard drive. -
Audio clip won't stay still when zooming in/out?

Try deactivating audio snap before making edits. -
This is a deal. I originally paid over $200 for this bundle years ago. Kramer Tape is a permanent fixture on my drum buss!

Lights are out, doors are locked, and boards are on the windows...?

You definitely want to compensate on the low frequencies so that it compliments the kick. I also like to add just a touch of overdrive to give the bass some grit so it stands out a little more in the mix. I record through a POD HD Pro into an Audient interface to get my sound, but any saturation/distortion plug in can get you the extra bite. Just be very light with it so it's not too distorted.

Thanks Ed!

We need more sub forums please!!! Use the old CW forum as a template. It worked well. Thank you!

I've never been farther west than Illinois, which is sad, because I only live a state away. I really need to get out more.

Sorry it took so long to reply. I would try increasing your buffer size and see if it takes care of the problem.

Please see the smiley faces on my post. I was just having fun.

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. It seems kinda random for me.

Hi cheap! Have you tried increasing the buffer settings in CbB?
