According to Red at Overloud, they’re working on a point release with some new features including a “scene capture” that will enable users to take a snapshot of settings or a template of sorts (guessing here) to apply to new presets. Glad this rig revenue is paying for some updates—I’m done with the rig crapshoot. Still my fave amp sim with an Ownhammer IR at the end of the chain.

That guy was great...as was his avatar pic.

Me, too. When's Amplitube 5 releasing??
-
Maybe I missed it but I don't see any upgrade paths from regular Jamstix - which I have - to Studio or Ultimate. I'd do it if it was an option but don't want to basically buy it all over again but just in a larger package. Great to see the sale is going on for all of December!

Thank YOU Larry!!!!!!!!!! Now that my wallet is empty, I no longer walk with a limp.

$10.99 here in Deeetroit.

I have to turn off my computer tomorrow. It will be tough learning about any killer Cyber Monday deals after the fact but I'm tapped out: 1. Got the drives mentioned above 2. AT5 update 3. Orb Producer Suite 4. Ownhammer IRs 5. The usual freebies (thanks, Larry!)

2 TB SSDs Lower in Price Than Buying Two 1TB SSDs
Marc Cormier replied to Reid Rosefelt's topic in Deals
Just bought the 1Gb Samsung but have been wondering if any of these 2 Gb drives would be cheaper for Cyber Monday. Probably not worth waiting and seeing no price change...! -

Are the Brainworx amp sims the same as what are offered through Plugin Alliance?

Get ready for the Aria throwdown. -
I'm with you on this one, Aidan. I'm also sitting on Guitar Rig 6 and still looking for shiny pretty things. Not gonna do it. But its badass if you need it. Or want it. Oh, what the hell.

Replacing and replicating system drive
Marc Cormier replied to Marc Cormier's topic in The Coffee House
Hi, Tom. Got a license for Acronis 2020 from a post on the Deals forum back in the spring and promptly forgot about it. I activated it tonight. From there, I created a rescue USB drive and then cloned my old 128 Gb system drive on the new 500Gb SSD. Worked like a charm. Didn't partition the new drive so I have space to spare. Not sure if I did any of this correctly but here I am! Thanks for the note on the control panel method - I got Acronis for backup purposes but it paid for itself just cloning the old drive! Now I'll have to clone and replace my sample drive once the new SSD arrives... -
Amplitube 5 is here - Release Date 15/12/20 or 16/12/20

Replacing and replicating system drive
Marc Cormier replied to Marc Cormier's topic in The Coffee House
Thanks, Bill! That's exactly what I was hoping to find; thought that forum was specific to Cake. -
Hi, all. Never posted beyond the Deals section so apologies if I'm off base. Picked up one of those PNY 500Gb drives Larry posted about and now I want to replace my current (120 Gb!) system drive with the new one. Is there a thread in Cakewalk world that you could point me to for some guidance and discussion?

Thanks, Zinc!

I can't find any info on either in terms of how many scales they support. Any insight here, Zinc?

He clearly leans to Orb in this video and admits to not covering some key Captain functions. Honestly, this has been the toughest decision this BF. They're both good for what they do. I've demoed both and am leaning toward Orb but it doesn't include a beat function. Given how much development has happened in just this year, though, I'm pretty sure they see this as a competitive disadvantage and hopefully develop the capability in future updates. There's a more recent video by this guy that is helping me get closer to the Orb side of the fence.

Aaaand just like that, the next post is the Captain Plugins sale. So much for my resolve.

Got the Samsung QVO 860 SSD for $100 and that other 500Mb SSD that was discussed as a system drive for $50. Now I can focus on not buying software. Yeah, right.
