Hey Keith, that is really nice writing. As I was watching the video and listening, I was thinking how different and yet so familiar each of our lives and experiences play out. There was a noticeable mix of joy and sadness in the tune. I get that same feeling too, when I think of all the people, places and things I have done in my life. Bittersweet. But that all goes away, when I'm around the younger generation. I can tap into their optimism in such a way that it makes me feel young again. Very nice, Keith! Good job !

Hey! You had fun making it and I had fun listening to it. The lyrics are great. Putting aside all the good advice given here, I really liked the tempo and feel of this tune. There is so much room the dig into and have a blast with. Pretty cool Freddy J!

A ***** cat song! Makke, that was really nice. Like most comments stated, the brush and bass sets a cool feel to the tune, but that guitar meows so nicely. The mix hits all the right spots and glues it altogether. Nice work!

That knob really bends things around. Don't think I've ever seen one on any of the synths I have. Does it go by another name or is it something unique that comes with the synth you are using? I really have to start digging deeper into these synths. They look rather complicated and I often avoid getting tied up learning new stuff while I feel inspired in other areas.

@Michael Richards @Supa Reels @Kevin Walsh Michael. There are some things I like and some things I don't when using AD2. Its got a lot of nice features to tinker with, but what I don't like is the signal routing for the cymbals. They don't have their own mix/faders and all are sent to the room and overhead buses, where often the kick, snare, toms and hat are also sent. Hence I can't make any fader adjustments to them without interfering with all the other items. I get around this by loading another instance of AD2 for just the cymbals. Hey thanks for letting me know what this sounded like on phone speakers and the VSX Phones. I don't have monitor speakers or a phone that plays music. I mix with, I'm embarrassed to say, a pair of Skull Candy headphones I bought many years ago. In fact, I had to re-glue the cushions back on them about a month ago. Yeah, I think I'm going to have to break the piggy bank and get new headphones. Very happy you liked my tune, Kevin.

Kind of reminds me of Selling England By The Pound-Genesis. Good work, John. Yeah! The piano sounds real good. If you have Dimension Pro there is a really nice flute in the library called "Flute in the venue". I used it in a lot of my tunes. May work well in this one. Also check out the saxes in the library. Overall, very good composition and performance.

I heard this over at SC and left my like. I love the tone you are getting with those acoustic guitars. Rich full bodied tones and so little mud. Great tune to cover too. As always, very well done, Mark! Loved it.

A very nice song to start with. Lots of downplayed emotion. Your daughter has a smooth whispery voice with a good helping of the higher registers. I'd be interested in hearing the bass a little wider to help fill out the panned vocals. They sound a little alone way off to each side, and I think your daughters voice is high enough that the additional low end will not mask her voice. I think it would also create a hole down the middle for the acoustic to bleed through some, as the bass and acoustic seem to be pretty much down the middle in the same spot, and the one with the most energy is likely masking the weaker. Nevertheless, a really good song and performance. - Dean

Love the way the banjo is following the drum snare. Really nice song. There is a 1 note in the harmonica that is piercing my ear on my end. Its not a big deal by any stretch of the imagination, but if you wanted to polish this further at a later time, I thought you may appreciate the heads up. Single band eq with a narrow Q setting should do the trick. Anyway. Really liked the tune and the feel. Good work!

I like this one, Larry. The space is cool. The vocals are getting so much better presence. My ears want more bottom EQ 'ed warmth in the vocals to fatten them up. But the bass sitting right behind them helped to that effect. The whole atmosphere and vibe played together nicely.

"What We Dream". A musical coaster ride through various mood grooves. The tune progresses for six and a half minutes to an all-out pedal-to-the metal rock crescendo. On those shaky grounds I'll say this is a Progressive Rock tune, and risk 3 to 4 mins under a dunce hat if I'm way off the genre mark. Ingredients : 1991 Jackson Dinky EX Pro electric guitar (my very old friend). I ran poor old Jack through a GSP 2101 studio tube guitar signal processor. (another relic of the past) There's a good helping of a second-hand Ibanez acoustic guitar that came home with me one day back in 2011 and never left. I ran the shabby home invader back and forth through a Z3TA + and a TH3 cab, then gave him a shave. The bottom end of things I awarded to AD2 drums and SI bass, because, well, dare I say they both have very nice bottoms. In the string and key section, you'll hear a mix of Z3ta-2 and SI strings dripping through the holes in my leaky roof. The vocal department was donated by the other bum living in the house, who has toured and sang in many showers across the country, and was also nominated and awarded the coveted shower singer eviction notice award uncountable times by the prestigious academy of triggered landlords, yours truly, Dean (AKA FreeEarCandy). The lyrics and theme travel through a philosophic psychological thought trap that places a heavy conscious on the scales and concludes it weighs less than dust. The upside is I don't need a feather duster in my coocoo nest. Have a nice listen on me !!!@(~..~)@!!! FreeEarCandy.

A 2018 FreeEarCandy experimental adventure, using a fast rock drum loop, and a electric rhythm guitar loop I created to match. So much for the loops. In addition, I buffered the guitar loop with a 2nd electric rhythm guitar that slammed out some sustaining power chords to glue it all together. Every once in a while I get the urge to rip out a high energy rock guitar lead to let off a little steam and the loops gave me the perfect opportunity to do it real quick and with little fuss. I was going to dive into this 2021 mix and see if I could pull more out of it with some new plugins, but decided to just let well enough alone. Hope you enjoy it! Dean.
