Extra 10% Discount at Blue Cat Audio Plug-Ins
GTsongwriter replied to Scott R. Garrigus's topic in Deals
Extra...as in 20% off? -
I played around with it for an hour... I'm not impressed. It doesn't have the necessary feel that I am looking for. I will have to search elsewhere. (Edit: Plus it's missing shortcuts AND the ability to assign a midi button or two that would allow you to search the different instruments within this instrument. I have to take my hands off the keyboard in order to click thru the different sounds on the very top bar.)

I just need to know which windows computer to install it to. I put all my ilok stuff on a different computer.

Is this any good? I'm not sure.. I haven't tried it yet, but I saw this deal, so I'm posting it. https://www.pluginboutique.com/products/8111-IRON-2 During my hunt for the best Metal Guitarist sound I'm looking for, I found this deal. I have not bought this, I plan to get a demo version of it later and try it out.

My needs would be the classic metal sound of the guitarist whom strums the guitar like a metal guitarist should. If you listen to Metallica Enter Sandman right at the start 0:24 you'll hear the guitar rhythm I want to achieve, basically, but I still want to do other things with it. For the most part, the rhythmatic way that the metal guitarist strums a guitar is different than someone strumming a regular guitarist strumming a guitar. I think it's more of a performance than the guitar to change the sound?

Thank you! Does this company require iLok?
-
Thank you so much for your wisdom! I do have guitar rig pro 6 and 5, and some guitar VSTs for just regular strumming, but nothing like the strumming you get from a heavy metal song like djent, palm, muted and several others I'm researching. I would however prefer a Kontakt library, but willing to install a trusted VST if it's much better.

Hi! I looked at Shreddage 3 Hydra (5 years old) and Orange Tree Samples Evolution Dracus(12 years old). I want to get something more modern and up to date unless those are the best libraries, if so, which would you choose, if not, what other libraries do you choose? I also looked to know when you've seen the best deal and the lowest price you've seen it so I can keep my eyes peeled. Thank you so much!

I just let Izotope and sometimes Sonible Smart EQ4 listen to my music and then I use the defaults. I think that EQing is BIAS. That it's up to the producer's ear. There is no standard in EQing, and it's all about "hearing" it... and each producer would EQ it differently so that there isn't really a right or wrong method. The only time I adjust any EQ is if something sounds muffled or unclear, or if I want more bass. But rarely do I worry about it.

Just let know when they beat thier lowest price ever.
-
Well.. I don't need it as I don't use EQ very much. If it ever comes down to $29, I would buy it out of GAS.

Vocal Splitter effect plugin by W.A. Production FREE with purchase ADSR
GTsongwriter replied to satya's topic in Deals
I guess not to get confused with stem splitting. -
Overall, would I regret not buying it? Cause, iZotope had a sell for RX 11 Standard upgrade for $99 back in December, a month later I regret not getting it and within a couple of weeks they have another sell, but not as good... For $119. If I would have gotten it in December, I would have saved $20. The music rebalance is actually worth the upgrade is what I figured out.

I have Sonible Smart EQ4, iZotope Mix and Master Bundle, HorNet Total EQ, Waves Audio F6, what does it offer that these don't have?

Found it here: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1366318-REG/blackmagic_design_dv_resstud_davinci_resolve_stud_color.html DaVinci Resolve Studio enhances video creation with GPU-accelerated performance, 8K+ support, advanced color grading (HDR, Dolby Vision), AI-powered tools (Magic Mask, Smart Reframe), noise reduction, motion blur, professional Fairlight audio, Fusion VFX, and multi-user collaboration. It’s a one-time purchase with lifetime updates, making it a top-tier editing suite for filmmakers, content creators, and professionals. It's got like 12 hours left from 12:00pm EST. I just bought this since I like to own it forever and for the video editing FX plugins you can't get with the free version. And other reasons. My friends told me if I didn't get it now, I might regret passing this up as it usually sells for $295, and most sells didn't get less than $235. Video & Music go hand in hand these days.

I wish you didn't bump this 😢 It made me realize it's not free anymore.

For a minute there, I thought your was talking about Waves Audio.

Cableguys updates ShaperBox to v3.5.5 and MidiShaper to v1.6.1
GTsongwriter replied to TheSteven's topic in Deals
Be happy they added a Code Signing Certificate to it this time! If you have the old version, you'll notice right before you install, Windows will pop-up with a "Unknown Publisher" warning. Now it has publisher information- 1 reply

Doesn't SSL use some known Lock program that requires a dongle?
-
Just be wary... there's known bug right now with it. The bug stops Waves Audio Sync VX from completing it's processing and it will hang forever! For people that own StudioRack, the StudioVerse plugins and COSMOS (part of CR8), will have issues with it. (At least what they told me... however, on my new computer I don't have those installed.) Solution: Close your DAW Remove WavesPluginServer by ending task in Windows Task Manager Then removing it from your windows startup Using File Explorer, navigate to “C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup” Remove the “WavesPluginServer” shortcut Once you do this, it should fix this issue. I'm unsure if they plan to fix it or not.
