  1. What can it do that most other metering plugins can't do?
  2. Although, I have numerous plugins, I will still buy samples from https://www.indiginus.com/ and other instruments. Those you can never really have enough of... Different varieties of instruments!
  3. You know...CC Larry jumped off this train long ago!
  4. I wouldn't run any VM inside windows 11 due to how resource heavy windows 11 is. Proxmox is made for this and ia the least resource heavy and it has the ability to do PASS-THRU with GPU and USB, among others. If I run a windows 10 VM on it, I can protect it with Proxmox security and firewall. To the world, windows 10 would appear as a Linux computer. I'm pretty well versed in Linux. I am not worried about a little overhead. The positives outweigh the negatives. Doing this would allow me to upgrade easier, where all I have to do is move the VM to the new computer and I would never have to worry about vendor issues and take advantages of new technologies. I plan to have multiple VMs, one for gaming, one for programming, one for the DAW. This will increase performance of the VMs because the softwares are not competing with one another. [My Positives of Proxmox] - Seamless Switching: Quickly suspend and resume VMs without needing to reboot. - Complete Isolation: Gaming, DAW, and programming workflows are fully isolated, preventing software conflicts. - High Performance: My new system's hardware is well-suited for virtualization. - GPU Passthrough: I have a Dedicated GPU for gaming and integrated GPU for DAW ensures near-native performance. - Low-Latency Audio: Real-time kernel and proper tuning can achieve low-latency for singing and DAW tasks. - Flexibility: Allows me to add new VMs for additional workflows like video editing or testing setups. - Portability: VM migration between systems (e.g., desktop to laptop) is straightforward. - Backup and Snapshots: Built-in snapshot feature is like a backup system onhand. You can install new plugins, and if you don't like them, you can revert back super easy! - Future Scalability: Easily scale workflows and add resources as needed. - Security: Virtualized environments improve isolation and reduce risks of cross-environment vulnerabilities. [Remaining Negatives of Proxmox for Your Use Case] - Compatibility Concerns: Some games (World of Warcraft, World of Tanks, Steam games) may have issues with anti-cheat systems in virtualized environments. - Plugin Licensing: Certain DAW plugins may detect virtualization and cause licensing issues. I'm just curious if anyone has had issues with any vendor putting their plugins on any windows VM?
  5. I'm thinking of moving all my plugins into a windows 10 VM on top of proxmox. Currently, I've noticed how buggy windows 11 pro is with plugins and my DAW. nearly crashing it, but on my old computer with windows 10, works flawlessly! So .. Anyone know vendors I'll have issues with moving them into a windows 10 VM?
  6. I don't touch any Melda Productions plugins of version 17+ due to Virus Total detecting it being maleware due to their new installer. I've got the latest 16 version, and that's where I plan to stay.
  7. I avoid any plugins that require iLok account
  8. So, I compared RX 10 to RX 11 for stem separation and found it not to be better enough for me to spend $99. Maybe $49, not it's not worth $99 upgrade. What they need to do is add more stem separation instruments in order to get ahead of the game. I'll wait for the next version, and hope they have better stem separation. It's what matters to me the most!
  9. So... As of right now, my loyalty offer from iZotope sits at $119.00 for this upgrade. I'm guessing Sweetwater is Better right now? https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/RX11StdUpRX--izotope-rx-11-standard-upgrade-from-any-previous-version-of-rx-standard-rx-advanced-or-rx-post-production-suite I have version 10 right now, and mainly looking for a better rebalance. Acon Digital Acoustica currently is my choice over RX 10, but I think RX 11 is better, I'm going to download a demo sometime today to try it out. Is there any other better offer or a time I should wait. I have till January 5th to figure this out!
  10. Love hornet software. They make it easy on my life too! I don't have to do anything special when I upgraded to a new computer other than just move the VSTs over to the new computer! Unlike other companies where you have to go thru customer service and explain why you didn't transfer the licenses, etc.
  11. Yeah, I know. There's a lot of hate, but there's one piece of software that I put myself into with Waves Audio and that's their NX series and I own the $99 NX device that helps with 3d head movement. I've recently got a new computer, I figured I'll just update only the NX plugins, but right now there's no 25% off the plan. Which third party works with you the most on the best deal?
  12. I've registered with iZotope, followed the offline instructions. Sent the challenge using a online computer... Tried with both Firefox and Microsoft Edge browsers, but I couldn't get iZotope to send me the authorization file. Downloading it manually gave me a .xml that it didn't take. Renaming the .xml file to .izotopelicense made it tell me the file was invalid. I created a ticket with iZotope, but they claim they are super busy, so I don't know how long it will be before they get with me. Any ideas on what I else I could do it solve this issue? P.S. I had bought the Mix and Master bundle Advanced: Crossgrade from any iZotope product for $229.30 (which is a loyalty price along with a Christmas discount of -$50 (original loyalty price of $279.30)). I couldn't find it anywhere else for less.
  13. I would be afraid to update anything from Native Instruments, based on past experience that showed them being mischievous with Kontakt! Yeah, there's a lot out there already discussing this and has clearly given Native Instruments a bad mark in my book!
  14. I wonder how cheap VSTs going to get when everyone is creating songs using A.I. like SUNO? It's crazy how good some of it's coming out. The only way I know it's A.I. currently because it tends to have issues recreating cymbal effects and it ends up sounding like gun fire between Reverbs / delays... You've gotta have a trained ear to hear it, but it can be heard. The free version is using version 3.5 which isn't as good as version 4. I have been curious in competition in this area, so I'm researching it.
  15. The machine never goes online. Too valuable of client data to take any risk of it being online.
  16. Looked, saw at the bottom it requires internet. I failed to mention this studio is offline, my bad. I'll update the question above.
  17. So they work on offline studio setups or require internet?
  18. Please answer as best you can on what you use to achieve the effect, please. Thank you! For my offline studio, please share offline VST3 recommendations only. Thank you! If it's not offline, and you have a work around, like using a sandbox to download and then copy certain files, let me know!
  19. ReverbShaper is my go to reverb for everything. Personally, nothing is better for the sound I wish to get on instruments and vocals. I personally should have just bought the ReverbShaper and been done with it, but I've got the whole bundle. The Snapback was a waste... It requires online internet for it to be useable. So if you have a offline studio, snapback is worthless!
  20. New interface and updated features. Current users get a free update! https://www.cableguys.com/midishaper I plan to download it Friday! Let me know what you think when you get it!
  21. Yeah.. Bandlab is full of Hip-hop, Rapper, and R&B wannabees. I can't seem to find anyone to Collab that isn't one of those!
  22. The Dolby Atmos in Davinic Resolve Studio is $225 right now... I could use thier DAW like system to create my mixed tracks in it and master using Davinic Resolve Studio va Dolby Atmos? OR Should I buy Studio One for Dolby Atmos, cause right now, Cakewalk doesn't have it, right?
