FreqAnalyst updated too. -
I always enjoy the ride when Pat Martino is in the elevator with me, nice job.

I bought Waves Kramer Tape when it was first released but haven't used it in years. It was fine for things like crushing drums & adding distortion. I never took to the AR J37. I would use these, they have much more of a refined sound.
-
Thanks for the clarification. You or someone mentioned this is also using a form of convolution as well. Is it in anyway similar the Vectorial Volterra Kernels Technology (VKKT) used by Acustica audio? That's how they sample the hardware's entire signal path & not just an eq curve with added distortion or saturation like most algo's. I'm guessing it isn't since I can drive the inputs really hard unlike AA's. Can you tell us anymore about the process used? They sound excellent, congrats on the release.

Pros: I've used each of the 4 models on 2 bus/ mixes only. Each has something to offer w/ different characteristics (punchy, warm, smooth ) they sound excellent & include a handy set of features. ( minus wow+flutter) Cons: -1.5 GB installer + Custom Shop -High cpu, 384 kHz internal sampling (I'd like to see an oversampling option for tracking/ mixing included. CbB has the up-sample feature on render so no problem there) -Gui is difficult to work with/ read, needs refinement. Overall a fine product: features, sound quality. At $99.00 good value. Will be testing them against the others I have & on more material, instruments, tracks & buses.

A credit from a 'bad' sale plus jam points. I removed all my IK products about a year ago, not fond of Custom Shop business model. I already have several tapes emus, if these were extraordinary I might demo, purchase & redeem them.
-
I haven't logged onto IK in over a year & can pick this up for $30.00. How does this compare to all the others out there?

I always dug his style, he turned the world onto New Orleans music back in the 70's. Part of the Wrecking Crew at one time too.
-
Sure, now funnel that frustration & energy. Let it inspire a new idea, track or song.
-
That was my point, he already got to you. That's his critique, good or bad. I'd just accept it & let it go.
-
Yes, consider going to a vocal coach. All the bands I was in used to hire one. Everyone including the sound man would go & participate. I'd also learn how to handle critiques a bit better.

I never install vst3 AA products, only vst2. Knobs reverting back is typically a sign of authorization problems.
-
Do any other adjusted settings revert back or just the threshold?

Some I really like, others not so much. With N4 it's 3rd Party devs Tim Petherick, Alex B, Henry Olonga has a free 'All You Can Eat' bundle. My fav Acqua eq's are Lime, Gold, Ruby, Pink, Azure, Bronze. For certain things El Rey (comp), Taupe (color.) Ceil gets used too, that was a nice freebie. Comps, limiters, general EQ, reverb I use mostly algo's.

There's a few AA verified dealers around that offer discount codes. Here They also have a personal discount system. The more you buy, the more the discount. I get 50% off most products & that's on top of the sale price. If you have an up to date computer you can run a fair amount. It's very much sound quality vs workflow with AA products. Here's a master list explaining their products- AA Master List

A new product, I haven't tried this, some of you might want to check it out. --------- Mastering The Mix Releases ‘BASSROOM’ Plugin - a final mix and mastering EQ that helps beginners and pros nail their low-end in seconds. Balancing the low-end is one of the hardest challenges in any mix or master. This is where so many potentially awesome tracks fail. Too much bass and your track will sound bloated and lack clarity. Not enough bass and your track will sound weak. BASSROOM is a final mix and mastering EQ that helps beginners and pros nail their low- end in seconds. It does this by delivering exceptional sound quality and suggesting genre-specific EQ adjustments a great audio engineer in a world-class studio would make. We analysed the best mixes in various genres to give you EQ target presets you can trust. From this starting point, you can tweak your low-end to perfection using the immersive 3D room interface. Price: £49 https://www.masteringthemix.com/products/bassroom

thanks for the info backwoods. It's a very nice comp, only wish it had wet-dry mix, channel linking & a normal sized output knob. That pinup girl / easter egg preset sounds great too.
