  1. For a limited time* you can add Ruby to your setup at the no-brainer pricing of just €79 (reg. €235) saving over €155! Feb3-Feb21 Ruby is an official endorsement and a faithful representation of the D.W. Fearn highly sought-after vacuum tube equalizer VT-5. The original hardware equalizer uses passive LC circuitry with class-A triode vacuum tube stages for the input and output. The input transformer is made by Jensen. The output stage utilizes the same custom Jensen transformer used on the VT-1/VT-2 mic preamps. https://www.acustica-audio.com/store/products/ruby
  2. I hear you but these days I like to keep around 20 at the most. I always seem wind up going to my 2 standbys anyway, a -74 Les Paul Custom & a '65 355. My recent buys are a Nash T52 & S57. They play & sound better than most of Fenders I've had over the years. They all stay in their cases except the Squier beater.
  3. I'm thinning the herd & just sold 5 electrics. Still have about a dozen left & plan on selling a few of those too. I picked up a Lefty Squier Affinity a few years ago just for the hell of it. Not bad for under $150.00, I use it for writing. Still If I find one I really like in the meantime I'll grab it. So much more fun than buying plugins!
  4. A collaboration with bassist Steve Cook This pack has profiles of 11 different studio quality bass preamp/di's from some of the top names in bass signal processing. Tones that will be right at home for recording or stage, as well as a couple of bass amp profiles from the Box of Chocolates Pack so that all of your bass rigs are in one easy-to-find place. There are 51 unique profiles from 11 different bass preamps as well as 4 song-specific rigs Steve came up with from customer requests. I’m also including 20 bass profiles pulled from my BoC Pack so that bass players can get all of the bass profiles I have to offer in one place. Check out the sound samples from Steve’s video and enjoy! https://youtu.be/o4JA-UuNKso $29.99 https://mbritt.com/product/its-just-bass-steve-cook/
  5. The extra frequencies pack 48-88.1 kHz sampling rates are now available via Aquarius.
  6. Sounds like they're ego tripping, When you post it pushes their tune further down the the page. As long as it doesn't break any rules I say keep posting. It's not another users right to tell you what or when you can post your music. I for one appreciate your talent. Some forums have an ignore button, maybe they can implement one here.
  7. I know, that's why I use an extra internal SSD for just Acustica plugins. Emerald is all about filters & shaping, it's set up similar to Pearl which I use for mastering. I like using Emerald on tracks for gentle/ broad shaping on already well recorded tracked audio.
  8. Custom built hardware, inspired Klein & Hummel UE 1000 EQ. Introductory Price (€199 €79.59) 60% OFF EMERALD2 is a VST/AAX/AU plug-in suite partly based upon some matchless processors built in Germany between the '60s and the '70s, known and appreciated for their unique sound and design. Emerald2 now includes a new faithful preamp emulation and an additional, incredibly rare dual mono EQ. Plus, thanks to the power of our CORE 14 technology, we achieved a substantial improvement in terms of sound quality and performance of all the included plugins. emErALd2 consists of: emErALd2 Equalizer emErALd2 Filter emErALd2 E200 https://www.acustica-audio.com/store/products/emerald-bundle http://www.acustica-audio.com/store/en
  9. Nice one Mark, on laptop so can't comment on the mix but it sounded fine..I liked the groove & natural feel on this. Sometimes one can over produce & the track gets too homogenized. - great job
  10. Keep in mind you could also crash any daw doing this & it could corrupt the project file.
  11. Glad to hear you're on the mend. It can be difficult dealing with health issues but I hope at least the experience will inspire some new ideas for your upcoming works.
  12. The eq curve is what gives it that nice warm sound. Many wanted it as an option but Greg insisted it stay as it replicated his h/w.. If the eq curve is not desired you can eq it flat just like you can do with any other plugin. Just put a basic bell EQ @ 54Hz, dip - 2dB and you'll have close to flat response. From my notes: There's a high shelf starting around 6kHz up to 13 -14kHz , then dips down slightly towards Nyquist. Also remember their meters are poor, they're trying to improve but the rule of thumb is compression starts before any meter or needle movement.
  13. Very nice, enjoyed it.

  15. If you're looking for that emu get Fuse's VCL-25A (it was on sale, all his plugins are excellent) or if you have N4 get Tim Petherick's ra6 which is stellar.
  16. Yes, I meant you Tom, sorry! again enjoyed the tune, it's working fine now..
  17. Moved some sliders from general settings to individual tabs (linear level, harmonic level + frequency) https://ddmf.eu/
  18. Great job on this Steve. I'd let the end ring out a few more seconds is all.
  19. Enjoyed the tune, very tasty guitar playing!
  20. Nice one Gary, lots of interesting intersections, the mix sounds fine here. Enjoyed it. Strange, I went to listen to it again & it's gone now..Maybe you just removed it?
  21. Again I like when you give the synth treatment to your projects. Switched on Bach came along when I was younger so to me it's a very familiar & pleasant soundscape to my ears. I have visions of carpal tunnel with all that note entry. -great job!
