  1. Here's a tip; I subscribed to Kush's newsletter & just received "20% on your first order of Kush Plugins, any time in the next ten days!" It brings this down to $80.00.
  2. Take Steinberg’s music notation and composition software with you wherever you go with Dorico for iPad. Whether you’re a composer, arranger, instrumentalist, teacher, or student, Dorico is the ideal app for producing beautiful sheet music that you can share as PDF, M4A, or MusicXML, or print directly to your AirPrint-enabled printer.
  3. Black is an Acqua plug-in suite made of two FREE players that focus heavily on Gain Staging: a standard version ('BLACK') and a "Pro-Oriented" version ('BLACK GURU'). Both plug-ins are available in the following formats: VST, VST3, AU, and AAX. When designing Black we had in mind to offer you two simple and easy to use players that would bring to life our preamp emulations and at the same time handle filtering and saturation intuitively. Black will give you the best tools for gain staging in the digital domain by quickly finding the best gain levels possible while keeping the source in the optimal range and distortion levels under control. 4. ValhallaDelay updated with two new modes! We’ve recently posted the 2.1.0 update for ValhallaDelay. This update to v2.1.0 includes two cool new modes, Quartz and PhaserDDL. Here's an overview of the changes: We added PhaserDDL, bringing lush 4/6/12-stage phasers into the delay mix. This is one of my favorite algorithms ever, as it draws on a lot of influences that got me into electronic music and DSP in the first place. We also added Quartz, a new crystal clear digital delay which is great for emulating “high fidelity” digital delays, as well as stomp box flangers and crisp looping delays. We fixed an issue around project recall with VST3 in Studio One and FL Studio. In certain situations, the delay times would reset to 300 msec when opening a saved project. No longer! If you are a ValhallaDelay customer, these updates can be found in your user account. If you aren't - try the demo! https://valhalladsp.com/shop/delay/valhalladelay/
  5. Always top notch Nigel. I 'm enjoying the tune, mix/ production & video. - great job.
  6. Thanks for listening freddy! Thanks Nigel, I appreciate the feedback.
  7. Don't go by waveforms, use your ears & mix it until it sounds the way you want it. Dynamics are good in my book, the loudest part of the song is just that, mix the others instruments or sections accordingly.
  8. Save 25% on the Unisum Mastering Compressor. We're celebrating the summer holiday here at Tone Projects with 25% off Unisum Mastering Compressor. Unisum is the perfect companion for Kelvin. If you haven't tried it yet, give the free trial a go. The last day of the sale is August 11, 2021. https://www.toneprojects.com/unisum-mastering-compressor.html
  9. That's a pretty wild & creative suite you got going on there jack. Sounds like you're letting out some frustrations too which can make for good subject matter.
  10. Yeah, been trying out the demo, it's a nice one. I might pick it up but it'd be nice if it was a bit less. Maybe wait for a sale, bf will be here before you know it.
  11. Thanks Tom, those are very kind words.. I'll check out the ss.
  12. I used MF once years ago. They screwed up & sent a mixing board to my home in Ct. instead of Florida. It was left outside in the winter. Totally their fault they were not going to make good on it. I contacted the BBB & won the case. Chances are it will arrive in good shape otherwise have them send a replacement or get a refund.
  13. Thanks jack. Appreciate the comments, thanks.
  14. You have Ozone so you could use that but also try using the stock limiters that come with your daw. Here's a freebie, I'm sure there's many others that were released since but this is a great one to start with. Limiter №6
  15. You want a very loud -6 LUFS master so first try using a clipper or a limiter (along with saturation) to get rid of transients & overshoots on your tracks ( like high transient snares.) Limiters & clippers ( & comps) can also be useful if you only want to shave off a few db's of peaks. You'll have to use your ears to hear which works better or which one is more transparent or the desired effect. This will help make your mixes denser & louder but do it in the mixing stage, not at the end.
  16. The eq balance isn't in general bad. ( although to my ears the D note on bass is swallowing up the low end / kick.) The problem for my ears is the mix is squashed. The mids + hf freqs. are badly distorted. Sounds like it's around -6/7 LFKS.
  17. This is always fun to check out, it was started years ago around the time the free TT Dynamic Range Meter was released. You'll see nothing is written in stone when it comes to loudness. You can check it out by year- https://dr.loudness-war.info/album/list/year/desc or by certain artists- https://dr.loudness-war.info/album/list?artist=steely+dan&album=
  18. @KurtS on this version I removed / added all sorts of old & new plugins.
