Okay, fair enough... You can get a UAD Satellite for $1200 new + the Neve DFC for $149, bringing the total to around $150 cheaper than the Harrison. Does the Harrison include DSP? If so, and if you could "Instantiate 100's of MPC Channels on a system to recreate the Harrison MPC console processing experience in Pro Tools and/or across an Avid control surface.", this would be something to pounce on. Also, every post house I know/interface with has the uad platform- literally everyone of them. Let's take UAD out of the equation. Waves SSL G channel: $39 McDsp McDSP 6050: $50 Wave Arts Track Plug: $30 Brainworx Console N: $99 Steven Slate VMR: $149 ... or for oranges - $1500 would get you access to all their plug in's for a decade (or longer depending on the promo). $1500 isn't even in the ballpark. Large post facilities have budgets, but they aren't stupid.

Apple and Oranges. UAD's AMS NEVE DFC CHANNEL STRIP is literally a tenth the price right now, and Neve (even AMS NEVE) is arguably a more revered brand than Harrison.

It's like, how much more black could this be? and the answer is none. None more black...

I use it often to breath life into tracks. It can distort / harsh things up quickly if you go overboard. The mix knob can help with this a lot if you don't want to dial down the bias and intensity trackballs. Try the demo, and use the presets "track silver" and "a little magic" on your 2 mix, and you'll quickly discover what it does and how well it does it.
-
Meh. Not a fan of this company. I had a bunch of sessions I had to mix that had it all over the place because it was included in the Slate bundle at the time. I signed up for the sub, and later I ordered a year during some promo. I cancelled my sub, and signed up with the year promo, and they ended up double charging me. Also, the diffusion seems off compared to the hardware. They also kept teasing that all these new plug in's would be added on and they never came. Later they added the Goldplate, which is great, but I'd rather just buy it outright. I'm happy with the UAD (which is currently a buck cheaper by itself).

Alesis Q25 25-Key MIDI Keyboard Controller Packages Virtual Instrument Package
e-cue replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
This was $150 during MF's stupid deal of the hour (I know this doesn't exactly help you out now). I tripped over myself purchasing it when I saw "Focusrite Scarlett 2i2" in the description only to realize that it was just mentioning a different package. I cancelled because I already own a lot of the software bundled, I didn't really 'need' another midi keyboard, and the exclusion of Focusrite would've been a great xmas gift mainly for the plug in's they give hardware owners. -
Thanks Dan. I would've missed it. I guess they are doing that extended thing again (Previous hourly deals—add to cart for extended savings!) lower down on the page.

This is another one I've been lusting for. I find it can to damage to low end material if you go overboard. Alan Meyerson rocks the hell out of it. But at $139.30, on sale... that's a lot of tacos.
-
It's still a lot cheaper than the Desper unit I bought off the dust brothers for $5k back in the day. I know, apples and oranges. Demo their stuff. I was really impressed. StageOne does a great job stereoizer sounds, spatializing sounds, and to quickly get depth without jumping through the regular hoops. Dr.Ms does some of this very good as well, but not all of it. But their $200+ regular price falls outside the pricing model of 2019. CenterOne? Yeah, that should probably be cheaper. But check it out. It's a really cool tool I wish I had.

If they did a $99 black friday sale, I'd buy each of their plug ins.
