orb composer looks like it has some BF offer for new users and upgrades https://www.orb-composer.com/shop/ it seems a bit mean, the rather high price for an upgrade from 1.4 to 1.5 but I don't make the rules.....

peaked too early

Anybody else having trouble logging in to SoundToys??
simon replied to Steve Patrick's topic in Deals
no problem at all Jesse - it's not your fault and in the meantime it's saving me even more money Wasn't really considering upgrading to the full bundle but I thought the upgrade price is good and I really like the one plug I have (primaltap) - has that kind of eventide type retro vibe I'm sure SoundToys will sort it out - I'm guessing they are doing very good business this week Not being able to buy MORE plugins is very much a first world problem ! -

hi Jesse yes - I used the link and can get in - still getting loads of timeouts though hope this slowdown isn't eating into Larry's valuable and extraordinary bargain hunting schedule ? ? -

not complaining about the discount and I was planning to get the bundle if their website would remain stable for more than 10 seconds - I was just noting that my upgrade was cheaper than @cclarry and I only own a single, discounted, plugin ? -

looks like they make the prices up ? I only have one plugin that I got in a JRR sale @ $29 (thanks larry!) and my upgrade is $189 ? -
I've a few of them from the novation/focusrite freebie thing I don't believe there are trial versions ? I'd suggest people read the feedback here before buying - my take is that they are fine at the freebie pricing

just installed v1.6 of underscore but credits still say 1.5 so who knows

I have a zero tolerance approach to poor customer service ?

was this the company that gave you less than stellar customer service ?

Larry and Black Friday go together like Indiana Jones and the Arc of the Covenant
-
sigh - you posted about 2 hours too late for me @Matthew Sorrels I read the VI_control threads and took a punt, and yes it's the 1.6 version. another plug for the Rigid Audio stuff - lost of sounds for very little money.

yet again just weighing in with my own experience of these.....(multisampled drums are my thing !) I had the original Kontakt version of the Ken Scott kits when they came out, using their "infinite player"....... the implementation was TERRIBLE - full of glitches, bugs and various issues. I was promised fixes but none ever appeared. Really very poor - and it was $$$$$ I rebought them when the BFD versions came out (they gave me a tiny discount) - plus I have some of the other ones too. basically, 10 years ago these were ok.....today they seem a little underwhelming. The Ken Scott kits (and others) are not as multisampled as a modern one - and they have limited mic bleed options. Might be worth a punt at those low prices but don't expect SD3 level of quality. Not deliberately being a BFD basher and wish it were otherwise Also bear in mind they are often at this price

^^^^^ agreed, especially because toontrack have some good offers on - I picked up rock warehouse from larry's link (thanks larry - you should organise some kind of affiliate program ?) and for sake of completeness just linking to your other thread which also has BFD BF kits - but same caution needs to be applied
-
slightly off topic.... I've been with BFD since the beginning. I've a load of the packs including 3rd party ones and you can still load version 1 packs in version 3, which is more than you can say for SD3 BUT It's looking a bit unloved by FXP in recent years - so of the packs are pretty old and some have 'issues' - there has been very little input/updates and if you take a look at their forum it's tumbleweed and massive amounts of chinese spam. I'm reluctant to invest any more into it - compare to Toontrack who are releasing better (IMO) packs and seem to still be actively developing it ...plus SD3 triggers better with edrums
-
They are on sale on the XLN site and here: https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/1-Instruments/70-Expansion-Packs/3864-Boutique-Mallets-ADpak or at audiodeluxe
-
not sure their preBF "better than black friday" price on XO was actually "better than black friday" but whatever
-
https://www.toontrack.com/release-notes/superior-drummer-3/ 3.1.5 - looks like a good list of fixes
-
damn you @ZincT I'd just walked away from that and now you made me buy it
-
I wonder if there are going to be any discounts on other stuff - might as well hang on until the 30th
-
there is a minor update to SpitfireAudio Labs Soft Piano and updates to Arturia Synclavier V and Synthi V XLN XO is showing an update from 1.1.0 to 1.1.1 ---- edit - looks like a new version of waves central too
