that headstock sure is ugly though ?

also - just posted in larry's 8dio percussion thread raving about SD3 - but I really think it's amazing - so I've come back here to rave as well ? playing with the new pack and totally worth getting - there are stacks and stacks of snares and kicks - all sound great (the 1920 black beauty is my current fave). They throw in a single kit of toms/cymbals to give the presets some context...and there are a lot of presets for those who are into that kinda thing. The snares also have some extra added channels (sub/skin-lo/skin-hi/stick). Still working out what they do anybody hesitating.....well buy now before they sell out !!!!! (fwiw using SD3 not ezdrummer so dunno what you'd have access to in EZD)

I bought a few 8dio things over the last few months, mainly the BF sales.....I'm feeling very 'meh' about all of them. Very variable in quality - some are massive CPU hogs or take aggggeeesss to looooaaaaddddd. A lot of them are not that inspiring or flexible and the documentation is very weak. If I had my time again I wouldn't have bothered. as always, just MO Gonna compare apples and oranges, but for those with SD3 - https://www.timespace.com/products/toontrack-sdx-orchestral-percussion absolutely first rate - and 120 instruments - up to 11-channel surround - midi files - great documentation. Makes that 8dio package look like a freebie - 100% worth the extra https://www.toontrack.com/product/orchestral-percussion-sdx/ watch/listen to the demos (I don't work for toontrack honestly !)

looking forward to that

"Includes a selection of backbeat-oriented MIDI grooves performed by Darby Todd" (Rhyming slang for something I suspect) (PS - has everybody played drums with The Darkness as some point ? - they are like Spinal Tap)
-
it does say "The raw content for the Kicks & Snares EZX was recorded over a long period of time" - so that made me a bit suspicious. I wonder if they are just outakes from other products ?
-
"Never-before-released material recorded in eight different top studios in Australia and the UK" edit those kind of things are like catnip to me .....sigh - £51 lighter
-
hard to know if this is a rehash of other expansions - doing some digging to see if I can find out
-
so this is the pro version of the 'micro'.... priced a bit too expensive IMO, Full price is $99
-
that's always the PA voucher gamble...... in my experience you shouldn't worry too much. I don't have the Herbert but the MC77 is worth getting here's Zo's guide
-
next time try everyplugin.com - (other discount websites are available). Even better, you could donate the $5 you save on that $29 to a charity of your choosin' . Larry, without fail, posts the best place to buy these updates, including the discount codes to use. He's saved me a bundle this week......or maybe he cost me a bundle ?...it's why were are here ! either way, you'll have zero 'payment protection' problems, honest.

...also, why does the youtube video have "alexa" doing the voiceover ? I get it that not everybody has english as a first language - but if this is normally a $149 library then they can do a better video. sorry for being so cynical but something not quite legit about this...mind you I'm still using ivory as my main piano and that's from the dark ages...
-
who knows - obviously all that really matters is how does it play, or how does it sound. I'm a sucker for a beautiful piano - but I also like a bit of reality in the way they market stuff .......
-
well it does have: 65,536 velocity layers and around 1000 layers have an audible difference what about the other 64,536 layers - zero difference ? confuuused ?
-
plus this initiates a firmware update on the m32
-
run native access to update can't seem to cut'n'paste from NA but basically: Komplete Kontrol adds midi mode assignments for A-series and M32 keyboards (hurray) Maschine - boring updates
-
as above...plus...cough....everyplugin.com..cough insane to buy from waves directly
