Not sure, but they do have 'downgrade' paths* - e.g. if you buy NOVO, you get a coupon to buy NOVO Essentials at a discount price. For NOVO Essentials, I understand the samples are the same, but you get an all-in-one patch (and I think some unique sound design patches). * I seem to remember when Heavyocity upgraded their site a while back, then coupons stopped showing in my account; I had to contact support (who also were confused), but they were happy to help out. They may (or may not) have fixed that problem now.

I personally love the sound of these; takes forever to load though. When working with these, I suggest writing on a smaller string set, replacing with these, and then bouncing. Though those of you with faster rigs might have no problem.

I think that means it will work on either Windows 10 (i.e. the oldest currently supported version of Windows), or Windows 11. As it's a Kontakt instrument, I would have expected it to work wherever Kontakt runs.

I love vocal libraries, and I like the idea behind this. There's something about Emvoice that just sounds artificial to me though: probably because the generated vocal's pitch is extremely precise and unwavering - I guess it's the same as a modern day hyper auto-tuned vocal though.

I wonder if this applies if we bought it as part of the NI promotion a little while ago?

I managed to - my biggest 'problem' with it is that it's limited to 8 sounds per instance. IIRC, there are some MIDI keys somewhere - one for each loaded sound. You can export MIDI (you might need to install an update) from XO to your DAW. You can also sync it to your DAW so that it plays whenever the DAW transport is running. The third option is, as you mentioned, to export wavs.

GPL3 is very copyleft. If you choose to license as GPL, your derived product must also be licensed as GPL. You can still sell it (I think...), but you have to make the source 'available'.
