  1. Some iZotope plugins have been going pretty cheap recently, so I can see that happening - I assume the bigger ones (e.g. Ozone Advanced, Kontakt, etc.) won't be? But then who knows - this supergroup is pretty big news.
  2. The Futuristic Design expansion pack for our highly-acclaimed WHOOSH software. Intro Offer until April 12th INTRO PRICE: $89,00 US until April 12th 2022 / regular price ($129.00) This powerful expansion pack enables you to design and perform cutting-edge sci-fi & high-tech sound effects for your upcoming projects. This is an expansion pack, and requires WHOOSH to use; a WHOOSH/Futuristic Design bundle is also available for $139.00 during the intro price period. https://tonsturm.com/software/futuristicdesign/
  3. Soundiron offer discounts depending on how many voices from the series you have previously bought. They only know about the voices that you've previously bought from them though; if you've bought from anywhere else, it might be worth sending them an email with proof of purchase.
  4. Are you sure? The collection comes with two new voices (Juliana and Phoebe) and some ensemble patches too.
  5. The sub(?)woofers on those monitors look big enough to knock someone's head off when turned up ?
  6. Do you mean available separately for purchase; or use, e.g. to use the compressor module without having to add the whole mastering suite to the FX bus? If you mean the latter, you can but only in the Advanced version.
  7. It is, in accordance with the VST3 spec. You can 'get around' this if you really want/need to by creating symbolic links to point to somewhere else, e.g. on a disk with more space.
  8. It's very tempting to put my voucher towards Soma, but I'm also quite interested in Tails (which becomes available for purchase after the sale ends). I suppose I need to decide whether I 'need' a(nother) EQ, or reverb...

    GPU Audio

Interesting concept, though I think there could potentially be a flaw in it - most DAWs aren't built with powerful graphics cards in them. The instant that you do, you've essentially built an ultimate gaming rig (especially if you put in multiple graphics cards). The more powerful graphics cards generally each take three power inputs, come with three fans, and typically heat up to somewhere between 70-90 degrees C under heavy load. Once that happens, you're going to need a very robust cooling solution which likely means a lot of additional noise: something that might be acceptable if you're playing the latest games (just turn the sound up higher to in an attempt to drown out the fan noise), maybe less so if you're finely balancing a complex mix or adding a few more recordings to a project. Not sure how this concept translates to SoCs (like the new Apple chips) either, as they share memory between the components (as far as I understand).
  10. Try chaining multiple together, e.g. GlidingCloudSurfer ?
  11. Four on the Floor MIDI patterns? ?
  12. That's sad to hear. While the beat is reminiscent of Mr. Blue Sky, the tune overall is quite different. Who's behind the copyright infringement claim? Is it a big publisher? Great song by the way.
  13. Put an instance of one of IK's tape machines on each track and bus ?
  14. A selling point to this one is stereo impulses. Are there any advantages to stereo impulses, e.g. do they actually sound better?
  15. A common thing that I do when applying a reverb is EQing the low end off the wet portion: keeping the mid/highs lets you keep the tails going for a bit without the low end becoming mud with the other bassy stuff. I guess you could do that with a multiband reverb - let the higher frequencies have a longer decay to shine, but having a much shorter decay on the lower frequencies.
  16. Even better if it's a $149 intro price, but $99 if you have (some other plugin)
  17. From the version number this looks like it's the fourth update release. The original release was some time last year - the intro pricing ran until 19th June 2021
  18. Bassroom is brilliant; I looked into Mixroom because of how much I liked Bassroom. Ultimately though, I decided Mixroom wasn't for me. Bassroom is a specialised EQ for lower end content, whereas Mixroom seems much more like a typical full-range EQ (i.e. the type that I already have many of). In Mixroom's favour, it does have a consistent interface with Bassroom so the experience is more unified. I think it's got a 'friendlier' interface too, ideal for those newer to mixing, or looking for a fresh approach. However, if you're new to mixing the AI is iZotope's suite is also very good for getting a good starting point and helping out too; the plus point being that you can see what's being tweaked, so you might give it a try on future mixes. YMMV
  19. Definitely the case with Mass Effect 3. The theme of the first two titles was let's build an intergalactic army - we have a chance to win if we're lucky and we play our cards right; the theme of the third was actually, we can't win - it didn't matter what we did in the first two episodes. oh well.
  20. I think it was missing a decimal point - the original price is $19.99 from their store:
  21. That's not very generous: most companies say that if they go out of business, they'll release a fully unlocked version of their software for customers to use. While technically Accusonus aren't going out of business, they may as well shut shop as they've discontinued their entire product range and terminated support.
  22. I do not think it has become a free product, so distributing it would amount to piracy. As others have noted, this isn't available to everyone - probably only those who have previously bought this bundle or plugins from it. If it was free, download links would probably be publicly available on Accusonus' own landing page (rather than having to log in). As the company is effectively shutting down (development on all existing products has stopped and support will eventually become unavailable), the installers are 'given' away to those with perpetual licences so that those users get what they paid for (i.e. a licence to use that particular version indefinitely).
  23. Any idea if this is the standard price, or a time-limited special intro price?
  24. I like it! The mix is clean and crisp, and the vocals share a similarity with Brandon Flowers to my ears.
