VIBRANT • PROFOUND • ETERNAL CHROMA personifies the ageless beauty of the piano. Painstakingly recorded from a world class Yamaha C3, it fully captures the sonic exuberance of the ideal piano sound. It is not only the perfect recreation of the acoustic properties, but also a full exploration of the instrument. From the profundity of the single note, to mallets, pads, and e-bow, able to create rich and inspiring soundscapes – CHROMA is more than a piano, it is the experience of the piano itself. CHROMA is the new SONUSCORE flagship piano CHROMA offers 4 freely adjustable microphone positions CHROMA has a unique core engine that both recreates the piano’s original sonority and also creates new and abstract soundscapes CHROMA comes with an adjustable velocity curve to match the dynamics of nearly every piano keyboard https://sonuscore.com/shop/chroma-grand-piano/

Just something to be aware of: I looked into this a bit more when it went on sale previously. Don't know if anything's changed, but from a previous review, there is no way to export your animations. You'll have to do a real-time record, and then sync your audio.

I don't think so. I think it's more that IK is trying to maximize its audience; I doubt PA have maximum-company-size required for their popup shop, and they know that the combined user-base of iZotope, NI, and PA would be huge.
-
From memory of older versions, no it's not possible. But, the Advanced version allows each individual Ozone module to be used as a separate plugin.
-
I could be wrong, but I think it was joining up with Soundwide and not remaining independent
-
I've used it too - it can really do a number on your basslines and kicks.
-
It's their popup store, like they did for their recent Audiority plugin sale
-
Maybe it's for the best - an alternative is that they spread themselves a bit too thin, cracks start appearing in other products, profits drop, meaning even less resource to go round. It's not going anywhere if you've already bought a licence though (according to something I read). It's just not going to get updated - and (sadly) it may stop working one day.
-
True. I think in the end it's down to who own the IP though - just because something is no longer being sold, it doesn't mean that it automatically becomes free. Audio Damage and Tone Boosters seem to be relatively smaller companies than the likes of NI and releasing their no-longer-developed products serves as good marketing for them: if someone picks up a plugin and they like it, they're likely to look to their active catalogue. I think I saw something from NI saying that they don't have the resources to give it the attention it needs. They might have more one day, or they might repurpose some of the code into a new product. There are two more additional things to consider: The size of NI probably means it doesn't need additional advertising - their logo is already on the back of lots of hardware that people see when watching someone perform, and on many YouTube videos. Absynth doesn't match NI's new target audience. If your aim is to draw someone in and you offer them a free product that doesn't align with their interests/is too complex (for them at that stage), you might end up pushing them away instead.

Great song Lynn. I saw the comment above about sounding like Peter Gabriel and completely agree (in a good way). Very creative song and arrangement. Well done!
-
Very nice playing Eric. You've got me feeling like I'm in a chillout jazz lounge. I enjoyed that. Is the electric piano real, or sampled?
-
Some truly fantastic playing there, Mark. It sounds good to me. If I were to really nit-pick, I might say that the drums are just a tad quiet: the hats and percussion are coming through clearly, but the kick and snare are a little quiet. I don't know if you're going for a classic vibe mix-wise; if not, maybe experiment with a touch more reverb on the snares. Nothing wrong with how it is though: I enjoyed the listen; thanks for sharing.

Love the humour in your post, Wookiee ? Great song and choice of instrumentation; the arrangement also allows each instrument to come through cleanly. I enjoyed that one - well done!

Soothing, gorgeous, and dreamy all at the same time. I enjoyed that - thanks for sharing. Amazing instruments for being free. Are the vocals one-shots?

ASUS TUF Gaming RTX 3060 Ti now on sale for $479.99 on Amazon

Might the extra onboard RAM on higher-end cards help in this respect? (Sorry if it's a stupid question - don't know much about video editing) -

I don't think IP works that way...
-
FET for aggressive/crunchy (e.g. drums) Optical for smooth (e.g. vocals) Vari-mu for smooth/glue (e.g. busses) VCA (i.e. the type that your DAW's stock compressor probably is) for general purpose/cleaner compression

They only work on a subset of items - I found this out 'the hard way' too. On your voucher email, there's a link with instructions. If you click on that, it'll list the eligible products. Needlepoint isn't one of them; I guess it's too new at the moment, and still on the intro price offer.
-
Got to admire that they made it cheaper than with a $29.99 voucher.
-
It's all cool. Easy-to-use and inspiration have their places too. And for the rest of the time, there'll always be PhasePlant, Avenger, F'em, Hyperion, Biotek, Iris, and more...
-
Could also be that the younger generation that they're targeting is more into instant gratification, rather than patch building
-
Not sure about that - you still get battery Expansions being released regularly.
