  1. Quite correct. From Latin, through old French. So unsurprisingly, the prejudice against "left" is the same in French, from which words like gauche are borrowed and used as a derogative epithet. Fascinating stuff for language nerds. On a different level, there's also the so-called Left-hand path, associated with black magic and Satanism.
  2. So it would have been considered gauche to use the word left, right?
  3. And of course... AC/DC - Sin City
  4. AC/DC - What Do You Do For Money, Honey
  5. Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble - Look at Little Sister
  6. The Sisters of Mercy - First and Last and Always
  7. As does this one. Ray Charles - I Wish You Were Here Tonight
  8. This works on a few levels... Stevie Wonder - I Wish
  9. I was very glad not to have taken my beloved Strat with me when we landed and I was told that my luggages weren't on the plane. They arrived a few days later, but I can't imagine the anxiety if it had been my Fender. The Epiphone survived the operation to and from Spain and again to and from Moscow. Wrote a few decent songs on it. I still have it in a closet somewhere.
  10. That's just being lazy... I didn't have that option when we went to Spain and Russia, and I wouldn't have wanted to take an expensive guitar or one that had any sentimental value with me, so I opted for the creative option...
  11. Alice Cooper - The Great American Success Story
  12. Was going for that America F' yeah song on the Team America soundtrack, but I figured it may be a tad offensive... Alice Cooper - Lost in America
  13. I could have posted the original, but, as a reference to the aforementioned hammer... Nine Inch Nails - Metal
  14. Just like all roads lead to Rome, all songs lead to Priest. Judas Priest - Metal Gods
