Very nice and well thought out instruments. My appreciation is growing for classical music all the time. I like to convert it with samples... but can not write it. Its a completely different brain matter that is need to create these compositions... to me its like playing chess and seeing the end game in just a few moves. Well done.

Thanks for the listen and comments. Very helpful and I agree too. When I did this I wasnt thinking of how an orchestra is traditionally panned... was going to do it my way (messing around with tradition I know) I just used marcato on these samples... to be honest I only new what legato meant, ? Its been a learning curve... and Im done with it now. Will try with the knowledge I have gained on another project later, Thanks Gary

Hi John. I can not hear the vocals very well.

It may sound a little weird what I say.... but is there a Beetles influence in there??

You cant beat the song of nature!

I agree more punch on the drums

That is some really cool and funky music there. Great mixing too.

That came across on my system very nicely. Once again ... well done. I always state this... but we all paint very different pictures... these are just my personal views and what I would have done and in no way is it meant to diminish the work you have done here. I am listening on Focal TRIO6 BE

I liked this one a lot... Im not a rocker... so this is more style of my music. Well done. Loved the guitar work... brilliant. -
I liked this track and it contained a sadness? Its sounds sharp on my speakers and I would have worked on the middle frequencies. Once again ... well done. I always state this... but we all paint very different pictures... these are just my personal views and what I would have done and in no way is it meant to diminish the work you have done here. If you look at my signature I have just gone through the process and rebuilt. Mine is rock solid and smooth and handles 4k no problem.

Very nice Steve..

Very nice, positive and clean mix. Lead vocal and harmonies sound great. You have a very nice voice Sir! The hihat is a little bit upfront but as Starise says it carries the tune along. Im not really sure what the answer would be.. Maybe a little room verb (wont take much) or maybe take some of the really high end off? Once again ... well done. I always state this... but we all paint very different pictures... these are just my personal views and what I would have done and in no way is it meant to diminish the work you have done here. I think this was a fantastic effort. A lot of work has gone into this for sure. Too my ears a few things sound a little out of tune... the guitar at the beginning?? I also believe the track could be a little more dynamic and I think you could achieve that with compression. I am sure a good mastering engineer could make this track sparkle. Once again ... well done. I always state this... but we all paint very different pictures... these are just my personal views and what I would have done and in no way is it meant to diminish the work you have done here. Not my kind of style... but I gave it a listen ?

Very nice Keith. Great vocals.... backing vocal s good too. There is something magical about tape. I did enjoy it.

Beautiful composition and laid back. Was that rain at the beginning? What are you singing about... something with nature? Bjørn thinks its static.. I think it rain so there is something that needs to be cleaned up or enhanced so there is not confusion. I liked the vocal... which could maybe come down a notch. I always say we paint different pictures in our mixing and our personal tastes. I would like to hear the bass a little more refined.. acoustic bass ...correct? Cant explain what I mean... but it sounds hollow (yes I know it is) ? Thank you for sharing and I liked it a lot. Well done.

Harry Styles - Watermelon Sugar (Zilvr's Electron Slicer Remix)
garybrun replied to NathanBright's topic in Songs
HI Nathan. As an ex Pioneer DJ/Club DJ myself (Norway) I hope you take my comments on board. I understand your production and what you have done.. so well done on that. You need to use reference tracks from previous club hits to get the groove with the bass and volume levels. It is maybe your reproduction system that is not letting you hear the real world sound. If you reference those tracks on your speakers you should be able to get in the ball park with your own mix. Wish you all the best with your endeavors. Gary -
Wow.. great musicianship on this one. I agree with Dan about the rhythm section and the kick being buried which would really help to drive the groove. The mix is really well spread out. If you could, I reckon a Mastering engineer could really make this song shine. Well done and a great achievement.

I liked it. Reminded me of the group sound "Madness" Is it meant to sound low_bit?

Great to hear "Grass Roots# recording. Its easy to loose the magic in our quest for perfection.

Very nice Freddy. You always carry that nostalgic sound with your music. This track in my opinion needs a little more bottom end to it.
