Y2K was supposed to be the apocalyptic event of the century, ...

I was contracted to Verizon Wireless for seven years from 1996 to 2003 and we hired a lot of older/retired/semi-retired programmers around this time to help fix the so-called Y2K problem.

However, I was far more concerned about February 29th!  You see, I'm the one who wrote the leap year logic code for them and it's not as simple as most people think!

Every fourth year is a leap year, unless the year is divisible by ten but NOT by 100!  So, while 1980 was NOT a leap year, 2000 was!  Other companies ran into issues at the end of February, but we didn't! icon_smile_approve.gif

    Not confusing at all. eh?

At least they did specify the "non-K versions"... when something can be overclocked it will run even hotter, so they most likely have a beefed up insulation/dissipation design to them.

However, I believe these were new additions (at least how I read it) to the K versions that had been previously mentioned!

    (I've got an Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-10900K CPU @ 3.70GHz   3.70 GHz so I was very interested!)

From my understanding it is a popular method of sound proofing. there is at least 6" of space between the inner and outer room. It typically means you can standd right outside his house and hear almost nothing there (while blasting a Marshall stack on 11), conversely he record with mics and the lawn mower+leaf blower+road construction should not bleed into his studio,

Now, inside his house, that may be another story.

I try not to use the lawn mower and leaf blower inside the house...  Just sayin'! ?

I'm sure you would have gotten the news and are just playing coy.

As for the first part, Ableton Live? I didn't see you as a Ableton Live type dude, but perhaps I have misunderstood Ableton Live.

I want to do a lot of synth stuff in the box (I have pretty much zero room) then play guitar over it.  Lots of guys doing this!  Heh, I'll be in a livestream in 15 minutes at 2 am my time on just this topic!  Old members from here often attend (it's hosted by Andy, aka Synkrotron, who I've known from here for about 18 years now!).  The Wookiee (a current mod here) is already on as well.

Because you see them every day when you drive your car?

This car thing sounds nice!  Maybe I should get one someday?

Oh, wait... That was Rain.  Nevermind! ?
