Nicely done chaps, sounds good here, thanks for sharing.

Nice and very appropriate, like those subtle bends. Sweet stuff thanks for sharing.

@Lynn My thanks for your comments and ears, this was another one that sort of just solidified out of the ether. The Synclavier started it all and the other voices just fell into place.

What version of Cakewalk by Bandlab are you running? It may be your version is an older version. Updates are issued on a random basis. Did you install it in the default locations? Have you tried login out of Bandlab assistant (BA), closing BA, restarting BA and login in again?

Had a quick listen between software updates sounds like classic Bob but I need to have a second listen before I can really make any sort of worthwhile comment.

I have found their support to excellent normally get a result in 24 hours. Are you using the Arturia Software centre to install and manage the software @kakku?
-
Login to you Arturia account and raise a ticket they will very quickly sort you out @kakku
-
@kakku What do you mean they have changed the licencing thingy?

Hi @Bob Oister, Thanks for lending your ears and thoughts to another of my little noises. I appreciate you input, nice to know the mix worked for you and that you enjoyed the vibe. best Wooks

This thread looks like ti is going down a rabbit hole time to bring it to a halt before any carrots or other underground life gets damaged.

@Grem Thanks Michael glad it chilled you out.

Have you considered Analogue Lab from Arturia (199 Euro's). You get access to about 30 classic Keyboards and it comes with 6500 presets. Whilst you are limited in the editing of completely new patches on the synths you can make adjustments to the existing patches within Analogue Lab via its interface. Then if any excite you can buy either the individual synths or buy the entire V Collection at a sensible upgrade price.

Thanks @bjornpdx again it pleases me that you got that vibe from the sound.
-
@Douglas Kirby Thanks for the ears, nice to know I conveyed the mood.
-
@kakku Thanks for the ears and the comment, though when one does not know what orthodox is one does not know when one is being unorthodox.

@daryl1968 Thanks, hum possibly I will have to ponder that. The ARP patch from the Odyssey is call Poly Brass but with my own arp pattern.

@emeraldsoul Thanks Tom, I have nothing special in my master buss. From the top down Cakewalk N-Type Console with the Drive set to about 1.9 Cakewalk Buss Compressor just for glue threshold -5.4dB % 5ms Attack, Auto release, No makeup. No SC and 100% wet No EQ Cakewalk Tape Emulator 15ips, Record level about 2 playback about 11. I did run it through oZone 8 essentials, as I was feeling lazy, which did add a little top end EQ and a little limiting gain to bring it up in level as it was a touch quite out of the mix so no squishing occurred in the processing. Normally I would not bother with oZone I usually use the LP EQ and the Adaptive limiter, but today well.

It has the Santana vibe to the guitar, the support band not so much for me but it's your song and you are the one who should be happy, sweet guitar tone, nice one.
-
@amiller My thanks glad it created that picture for you too.
-
Thank you @antler I was listening to it and that is exactly what the furry brain imagined too, much better the title than July 2019 Project 4

"Love Song of the Reptilian Overlord" - with audiovisualizer vid
Wookiee replied to PhonoBrainer's topic in Songs
Tom revealing the true source of his emerald soul, that reptilian DNA. Is this what I expected pretty much, nice fret-less bass, real or sample? I did enjoy the eclectic nature of this @emeraldsoul the mix sounds OK, there are probably some minor tweaks you could make but there always is. Thanks for sharing -
Nicely done @Kaustub M. Joshi mix works well here I enjoyed the vibe the sense of loss and seeking.

Captain Beefheart sprang to mind as this all kick off knowing that at some point the band was going to kick in. I was not disappointed.

Personally I have always seen Melodyne as something you use post recording not something to use as you are recording. As I understand ARA it is not like VST which is processed on the fly it in effect moves the Audio to another space for processing. Perhaps that is the issue. I could be wring it would not be the first time.
