Unable to Sidechain In Softube Console 1 [SOLVED]

Geoff Merson

Question

I have recenty bought a Softube Console 1 and it works brilliantly, except that the external Sidechain function can't operate, as Cakewalk seems not to recognise it as having that ability.

I have enabled DAW intergration, including Sidechain. It is also VST3, which is required for that.

Attached are files, showing the Sends context Menu, showing Sonitus with the Sidechain option, and Console 1 without it.

Any advice appreciated, thanks.

An update:

When it appeared that I wasn't getting the desired result from the compressor, I noticed that turning the Parallel Knob anticlockwise towards 'Dry', was making a difference. On the Cosole 1, Dry means fully processed. I'm used to it being the other way around. I assumed, from using DAW compressors, that 'Wet' denotes the signal being fullly processed by the compressor, but with Console 1, it's the opposite.
