Hi there. I'm running Windows 10. I've been having random audio dropout and crashing issues, seems to be related to kernalbase.dll :

I have eliminated almost everything, plugins, Windows, drivers, etc. The only thing I haven't done is a complete uninstall and clean re-install of Cakewalk. I'm hoping that will fix my issues.

Before I do this, I ran the Compatibility troubleshooter on Cakewalk, and it suggested I run the program in Windows 8 mode. I thought this was odd, and wanted to see if anyone got the same result with their Cakewalk? Perhaps it's just telling me the program has some corrupted files somewhere?

Anyway, I'm going to re-install the software and see if my random issues get resolved.

Yeah, from what I gather Cakewalk is mostly tested under Win10 and Win11, with not much at all being done on Win7. Win8 seems like an odd suggestion. It's not really different enough from 10 to be that big of a factor, IMO.

Certainly worth a clean install (rather than just a regular uninstall/reinstall) and see if that helps, but this feels like there's something else going on somewhere.
