Cakewalk Reference Guide - Table of Contents

DallasSteve

Question

I've asked a lot of questions here that could be answered in the users manual.  Cakewalk has one and it's very thorough.  The one shortcoming I see is the Table of Contents is unwieldy.  There are about 40 pages in the Table of Contents and when I go to look for a topic it overwhelms me.  I've tried using the Index and that helps sometimes, but sometimes I struggle with that, too.  I've tried searching the Reference Guide for specific words and that is a slow process at times.

In my current search I need an overview of the Groove Clips.  So I decided to cut the Table of Contents down to size for my use.  I created a text file listing only the Table of Contents "chapter headings" that are in blue.  I've attached a copy of the text file, if anyone else wants to use it.  It's about one page long.  I can find general areas at a glance.  Now I can easily see that if I want to learn more about Groove Clips a good place to start is on page 763.
