Wookiee 2,009 Posted March 7, 2021 Vocal sounds little thin here on the Adam's? In fact the whole mix feels like it has had the middle scooped out, sorry to say. It sounds like you have worked hard on the songwriting and the playing sounds quite accomplished. Very abrupt end.
KSband 395 Posted March 7, 2021 Lot's going on there, I like the busy bass and guitars, pretty funky. I agree with wookie it sounds thin and lacks punch. Needs the bass turned up, maybe the drums too, not sure how to fix it, but you did some cool stuff on it for sure.
jack c. 744 Posted March 7, 2021 quantize the intro melody.some of voice noises are out of tune.nice chords/song and recording job.take that bass sound and put it on another instruments so ya can re=do a bass sound not so busy.jack c.
treesha 337 Posted March 7, 2021 Good song, good lyrics, couldn't help but think of Joy Division's Isolation, very different of course. Very proficient playing wow. As for the mix, I would turn down the funky guitar, the secondary vocal lines, turn up the drums and find something low or low-mid backgroundy and sustained that could give it some glue. Maybe a little less fx on the vocals, they seem to float above the busy song. Something gluey could bring it all together. I'm not a jazz person, just my impressions. Bajan Blue 1,328 Posted March 8, 2021 good track, could be stellar with some work - the mix sounds strangely thin - this is not an MP3 is it? Anyway good stuff with real room to improve with a bit of remixing Nigel
DeeringAmps 2,003 Posted March 13, 2021 Kevin, hit "share" on your vid at YouT then Ctrl+V here on the forum and the vid will Imbed. Drove me nuts forever trying to get right. Lots of good advice above so I'll leave it at that (needs some work, but certainly worth continued effort). t
