kurt soderquist 98 Posted January 18 The vocals have a bluegrass kind of cadence, I think a harmony with it would make it sound really nice.

David Sprouse 403 Posted January 18 I thought it had a more a 6/2 feel if such a thing exists. :D:D Hey rex, I'm a fan. You sing and carry yourself as if someone with a big heart. Keep it up!
RexRed 63 Posted January 18 Thanks for the nice comments, I am so lucky to be a part of this community and to know the value of Cakewalk software. I have been using it since Cakewalk for MSDOS. The time signature is 7/4 a very odd signature and it took a while to get used to it. This song is still a work in progress it is a bit sloppy still and I will be fixing that. I am adding a mandolin solo in the solo parts and maybe a few more things here and there. David thanks for the big heart reference, I think that pretty much sums up my attitude in life. Live love to my friends and I try to find the good in things. Stay well and love and hugs! RexRed
noynekker 143 Posted January 19 I was going to say 7/8 time. RexRed . . . always love your lyrics and vocal delivery. I would call this song "Last Love of Mine" because that's the line that seals it. Great work as always.
Bajan Blue 461 Posted January 19 Rex I do like your vocals - really sound professional and always sung with a lot of heart Cool job Nigel
Wookiee 928 Posted January 19 Nothing quite like an odd time signature to mess with the brain. I will keep the furry ears out for the future versions before passing any more comment.
RexRed 63 Posted January 21 I added harmonies last night and plan to add a mandolin and banjo. Thanks for the comments Cakewalk peeps! 💖

RexRed 63 Posted January 23 Hey Cakewalk peeps! I added some new oohs vocals in the background, a 12 string, a banjo and a pedal steel since you last heard it they are all very subtle. I got the mandolin solo left to do and the dobro maybe.
