Calum Findlay 6 Posted June 15, 2020 (edited) Many thanks to users on this forum, I have been able to finish my first project and uploaded it to Spotify and YouTube! It's an instrumental composition taking you through the stages of the pandemic. Let me know what you think. treesha 60 Posted June 16, 2020 Great first project ! Can we get to the end of the pandemic please ? In the deals section there is a post for ozone elements free. If you don't have it check it out. It has some tools you might like.
Wookiee 885 Posted June 18, 2020 @Calum Findlay Nice track gets a little quite here in places, which is a shame barely lighting the first two segments of my meters. (Saffire Pro 40 driving Adam A7x's, just so you know I am not running into some none sense kit)
bjornpdx 594 Posted June 19, 2020 Good orchestration Nice build up to ~2:00 I like the strings coming in ~1:10 Classical music dynamic range tends to be high but I thought overall the music was too quiet I'm not sure if the music brings to mind a pandemic but I don't know what that would sound like anyway. 😁
DeeringAmps 803 Posted June 20, 2020 I thought the things going on underneath the bass line could/should come up a bit. The strings in the left can probably a lot. But hey, this is your song, your production. A bit on the long side for me, an aging 3 min rocker, so take that with a grain of salt. My wife has the Requiem CD (Lloyd Webber) and its way too soft when its soft and then way too loud when its loud (if you've cranked it to "11" so you can hear the soft stuff, note aging rocker reference above). Having said that I must agree you should master this up a bit overall. But that's what the Level (voulume) control is for so again, grains of salt maybe... Calum Findlay 6 Posted June 25, 2020 Thanks everyone for your kind words of encouragement and suggestions! As I learn to use effects and master I'll come back to this one and refine it. For now though, I'm going to focus on new ones. I really do appreciate the comments
David Sprouse 376 Posted June 27, 2020 Calum I think you've expressed the pandemic perfectly! You use repetition effectively in this.
