  1. Hello, I am currently experiencing a strange bug. I am building a large orchestral project for film scoring. The project is quite heavy on RAM usage (it uses almost all of my 32 gigs of memory). The thing is, that when I load the project, the keyboard shortcuts are sometimes not working. Sometimes they do work, but more often they don't (this seems very random). One time the shortcuts were not working, but when I saved the project, they started to work. The only thing working every time are the modifiers for mousewheel (for example Alt + mousewheel for zooming). Not even the basic default shortcuts (like Space for playback) are working. The issue is not happening in smaller or empty projects. I tried saving the problematic project with different workspaces, different keybindings, default settings etc., but nothing helped. The only thing that seems to resolve the problem is when I reduce the usage of RAM. I tried deleting instruments and noticed, that when I reduce the memory usage to around 70%, the problem seems to be gone. I tried to delete different instruments every time to assure, that it's not one specific instrument, that is causing trouble, and it seems that no matter which instruments I delete, the issue stops only when certain amount of RAM is freed. I am quite puzzled by this behaviour. Perhaps someone with greater insight into this could explain what is going on? Thanks. I am using the latest Cakewalk version (2021.04). My PC specs are: Windows 10 (latest) Intel Core i7-9700 32 GB RAM
  2. Fair enough. Anyway, I wish you all the best with this project.
  3. Hi, I just wanted to share the AutoHotkey script, that allows you to zoom in Cakewalk using only mousewheel scrolling without holding down the Alt key. If you are moving constantly between different programs like Reaper and Magix Vegas, like I do, you know how confusing it can get to readjust yourself to different mousewheel zoom settings in Cakewalk. 1.) Download the script attached to this post. 2.) Download and install AutoHotkey. https://www.autohotkey.com 3.) Now you can double click the script and it will run in the background, allowing you to use mousewheel zoom in Cakewalk. 4.) If you want to run the script automatically every time you start your PC, place the script into your Startup folder (C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp). 4. I see. Are there any plans to release a one time pay version without subscription?
  5. Looks very interesting. Sadly, all the links seem to be down.
  6. Ok, I was able to achieve what I wanted by inserting the MidiKeySwitcher plugin in front of the instrument. https://plugins4free.com/plugin/2335/ However, I am puzzled by some inconsistency in behavior on different tracks. On some tracks the change of articulation happens simply by picking the articulation from the list, while on some other tracks you need to pick it from the list and then click it in articulation lane to become active. Even when I duplicate the track where switching is happening by picking from the list and use the same articulation map it does not work on the duplicated track. Since the track uses the same VST settings and articulation map I really don't understand the difference in behavior. Update: I found out that switching by picking from the list is working when you duplicate the whole track including Events. This however creates 2 articulation lanes, one from the old duplicated track and a new one for the new instrument. The old articulation lane needs to be present or the picking from the list is not working. Also you can't delete the clips from duplicated track because it causes the old articulation lane to disappear.
  7. I see. Thanks for the explanation. I could perhaps try some workarounds using Midi controlling plugins inserted before the instrument.
  8. Hi, I am currently trying to build articulation maps for my orchestral template and there is one issue that I cannot figure out. When I create articulation maps for instruments that only use keyswitching on one Midi channel, I am able to click the desired articulation in Piano Roll View and instantly change the articulation, so I can play and listen to it, before I actually start recording. The problem is that when I want to do this with multitimbral instruments (Play, Kontakt...), that have different articulations assigned to different Midi channels, changing the articulation by clicking it is not working. The articulation change is happening correctly when I record some notes, assign articulations to them and hit the Play button, but I would like to have the possibility of previewing the articulation before I start recording. The attached screenshots are an example of how I set up my articulations for Cymbals in EW Play using 2 Midi channels:
  9. Yeah Panagement is great but it lacks some more advanced features (for example being able to place the sound source behind a wall). https://www.quikquak.com/prod_rayspace.html This plugin looks great but sadly it's discontinued. https://lsp-plug.in/?page=manuals&section=room_builder_stereo This one looks quite interesting but is not supported on Windows.
  10. Oh, I see. Thanks for the answer. It's a shame. I'd really love to have some nice reverb where I could build my own rooms. It seems that all the plugins of this kind that I found are either discontinued, Linux only or too overpriced.
  11. Hello, I would like to get a copy of the old Cakewalk Soundstage reverb plugin. It was available for free some years ago but all the download links seems to be dead by now. Is there any way to acquire this plugin? I would be eternally grateful to anyone who could help me with this. Thanks.
