  1. Installing all the software managers on my new PC and got a worrying report from Malwarebytes as in title (also came up as an issue in the trial version of Norton I have installed. Has anyone else had the same problem?

Only reference to it I have found is the link below

Seems to be a long term issue but perhaps nothing to worry about?

    Mine works. Wonder of wonders.

That bit I said about us being friends here...... Let's give the OP a chance and hopefully we can help them through. Though I totally agree a look at the manual is a necessary first step 🙂

  3. I don't wish to be harsh but you do need to understand the difference between VST audio effects and VST virtual instruments. I am no expert by any stretch of the imagination but I have had no problems with Kontakt.

Try a less antagonistic approach and I'm sure you will find people willing to talk you through it. We are all friends here and using derogatory terms is not appropriate.

As mentioned above have a look at the user manuals for Kontakt.

  4. I know I know 🙂 Never had that problem with Waves before so thought it may be something at their end - I'll remember not to post until I've rebooted next time. 🙂  Just been going through all the different software licensing / deactivation / activation stuff - this is why I have put off upgrading for so long!

I'm confused.  I have the latest version of Loopcloud and it allows my content to be indexed by their search engine.  (And I have about 600,000 files that it indexes.)

I get a 50% off deal to buy the annual studio plan which is $60 for the year ($5 per month).  That plan also gives me 3500 points to buy clips, so with most clips costing 2 points, that gives me more than 1700 clips that I can purchase with the points.  It also gives me 25 free clips every day.

I think it's a great deal, especially considering how good their search engine is.

But a) you have to buy subscriptions every year to keep using it - previously it was free and you could buy samples if you wanted to and not bother if you didn't and b) all the work on favouriting samples is lost unless you pay. If I had known that was going to happen I would never have started!

I think Bill is on the right track, I just should just go back to the source and download everything fresh.

That is what I am planning to do when my new PC arrives where I can - it will also make me prune my VST count which is at around 1,000 - though that includes 32 bit and VST3 duplicates

    Good luck!
