For my personal playing got it about 8-9 years ago, still looks brand new, and I don't lose guitar picks.  

I will say tonally I prefer the $50 TAD80.  But I like the 2.5mm feel.  

(many tone seakers pay very high prices for Real Tortoise Shell on the "black market," this is a reasonable alternative that is legal and lasts longer) 

Wow, that's impressive. Don't know if that'll improve my playing though.....there's no substitute for talent.

I mainly use AD2 and EZ Drummer2......is this any better (sounds/feature-wise etc..) or even more fun/inspiring to use?

This Stealth limiter is the first plugin I use on all my guitar tracks (thanks to Craig Anderton)....keeps everything tamed/under control and does a very good job of it.  

Does this Fred need a thong song?

For just playing through the amp, I like Earthquaker Devices mixed with the GR20 and my guitar. That's the next best to Rapture, but it's not as good.

I haven't played with Rapture or Z3ta2 in a long time....usually, I use Jam Origin's Midi Guitar to trigger those synths and love it. I do have an old GR09, but due to the responsiveness/setup, haven't used it in over 10 years now. Midi Guitar does it well.

Really like all these ideas/suggestions to get the old creativity flowing. 

I recently got a couple of amp sims from Audio Assault (Bulldozer & Grind machine II) and have to say I really like these amps (heavy tones). Since John Maar mentioned Soundtoys, I put Echoboy (reverb patches) to the test and really good stuff.

Will check out and see what other things Echoboy has to offer (has a lot of different fx/presets....quite a good plugin).

Hi mettelus!

TBH, I'm not really looking for anything in particular but just wanted to see what "fun" plugins you guys use to get your creativity going. 

.....but, but, but all the exciting stuff happens in the CH no?

I do have all their amps, but not any of the fx's.

Not sure if these are any better than what I already have (with all the other amp sims/Sonar fx's etc..) or are any here that stand out??
