  3. Thanks, everyone. I'll probably wait and get the IK version when I upgrade to Total Studio Max 4, whenever that will be. In the meantime, I'll get the Indiginus version this BF (if it's on sale). IK's GUI just seems a little, um, odd, to me. Don't know why exactly.
  4. Oh, good. The pops are gone now. This is mine.
  5. Thanks, I just posted this on the forum. I hear this very clearly in the walkthru video while he's showing us the staccato and tremolo articulations and will be surprised if no one else brings this up. Surely it's not just me.
  6. Hmmm, in the Walkthru video I hear pops in the staccato and tremolo articulations. That's disappointing! I want to like this. Listening again.... Wow, it's really annoying....
  7. I sent an email to Indiginus to explain the difference between their Resonator and IK's Resonator (since it also comes from Indiginus) but they never responded. Does anyone here know what the differences are? Is it just the GUI? Do they both use the same sound set? Do they both have access to the same articulations? Thanks,
  8. I'm seeing 6 soundbanks for $48 to complete my Chromaphone collection. Done...
  9. Any relationship with Garriton's Aria Player? Not too impressed with that, but I may not know how to use it properly.
  10. Guys, guys, guys, hardware is expensive. Those pedals have to be pretty heavy-duty and monkey-proof (and beer-proof) to be any good. Guitar pedals are expensive. These are really a pretty good deal in the scheme of things. Who cares if there's a processor inside or a bunch of analog circuits if the function/capabilities are useful? Many of those flexible delay pedals are processors running software . Without the embedded processing, there are many pedals that wouldn't exist. I'm convinced some of you just like to complain...
  11. Their in-depth walkthrough sounds pretty good to me. Sounds like it has all the folksy articulations I'm looking for with easy accessibility. 1/2 price for another 3 days.
  12. Mine arrived and they sound great, as expected. But I assumed it would come with a storage pouch like my other high-end phones, but no. Just this huge padded box, which is too big to store anywhere. Still, this is a pretty good deal.
  13. And now there's the Beatnik Roots Folk Fiddle.
  14. Just listened to Westwood's new untamed violin. It sounds pretty upfront to me. Lots of stuff there I wouldn't use, but it seems pretty raw to me, which is good.
  15. Thanks for your insight, Tim. The Taylor Davis violin is on sale right now, too!
  16. I heard some of those Celtic trebles here. Thanks for sharing!
  17. Hi Jerrydf, regarding Joshua Bell, there's a Celtic articulation that involves a quick little flick of the right bowing hand to produce a quick little scratching sound (called a treble). Can the Joshua Bell instrument replicate that? I asked on the Embertone forum quite a while ago and never got a response. I guess no one there knows. Do you determine if it can do the treble articulation? Thanks,
  18. ... and AAS will swap any duplicate sound banks for you. There are 6 here!
  19. Wait, there really isn't anything to download here. It's just a way to combine existing cabs in parallel paths to get 342 new sounds.
  20. But this still doesn't include their PRO series from what I can tell.
  21. Couldn't withstand the chance to get these well-reviewed headphones at this price. I'm in....
  22. What is the relationship between this and Ozone? Is it part of Ozone? Do I use it instead of Ozone?
  23. I still have dogs scratching at the door, lawn mowers outside, the icemaker in the frig dumping ice, my LED lights buzz, the clock ticks (but I can move the clock), and my wife keeps starting the laundry. My mics seem to pick up EVERYTHING. Plus, there's a constant thermostat battle between my wife and I. I have been able to turn it up while recording but there are complaints about "Aren't you done yet? It's getting hot in here!" In the interest of peace, I need to find another way. Luckily, I can plug my mandolin in directly and use an EQ to get a really nice mic'd sound. I can't do that with guitars and banjos because their transducers are not good enough to get an untainted sound regardless of how I dial in EQ. I think it has to do with a transient/compressive/non-linear effect the transducers impart. An EQ is not enough to fix it. Maybe it's OK for a dense mix, but not for solo instrumentation, which is what this picked nylon VSTi seems to be targeted for.
  24. Their Martin acoustic guitar bass is really nice as well. That's what got me hooked on their whole ecosystem. I needed some non-electric basses for some folky/roots music.
