So should we as a group post a rant on their FB page?  File a complaint with the BBB since PA is in the U.S.

People of the world are trying  to do  whatever they can to stop this war.  Do you think filing a complaint on behalf of a user with one post and who's registered a few minutes before creating that post would be a step in the right direction?

By things like McDonald's pulling out of the country, people are going to want to know what is really going on and will start to question.

Haruki Murakami calls McDonalds food junk food and most people in Russia agree with this. So it's not McDonalds, that's gonna put end to the sick dictator's regime.

most people in Russia have no idea what is really going on because their media is being very controlled right now and they are painting a picture that the rest of the world is at fault

It used to be the case when the war started. Now the situation has changed. Most people do understand that it's horrible slaughter of innocent people in the name of usurper who claims to be national leader. By most I mean more than half. Not sure how many exactly.

That's not actually true - but why let facts get in the way of your delusions ?

    My delusions? Please, elaborate.

Hopefully we can agree that the death of ALL innocent people is a terrible crime

    Absolutely!

to equate this with the removal of ilok support (which isn't strictly true either) shows a huge disrespect for those lives lost

    So don't do this. I don't.

    you should be ashamed

I am ashamed of sharing the same culture and speaking the same language with people who started this war and who support it. That's what I'm ashamed of. Not of what you imply and accuse me of.

However inconvenient that is for our friends, fellow musicians and engineers in those countries it's not nearly as inconvenient as being shot at.

You're right! It's all about convenience.

It's very inconvenient for the USA or Germany to supply Ukraine with MIGs from USA base in Germany because (sic!) both USA and Germany are NATO countries. However it is extremely convenient to do this from Poland, because it's not as much NATO country as other counties.

Double standards and total BS at its finest.

This move by iLok is nothing but stealing customers' money.

  5. Cool beans!

I used to have Jupiter-8 back in the early 90s. It was fun, lots of interesting sounds which never proved to be useful to me, so I had to part with it. But I still have Roland PMA-5, and still think it's amazing for what it can do.

I seem to recall that Line 6 at one point included a model of their old models because their users liked the old one better than the new and improved one.  Also Guitar Rig has had a SansAmp model for ages.

Makes sense. NI GR5 includes GR4 mode. Also, original Amplitube and Overloud models are still there. Digitech multi-fx (RIP) used to include a digital model of their 2101 tube-based rack preamp-processor. So, it's mostly up to original manufacturers/developers to offer such models in their next-gen modeller. But I can see why it's a good practice to avoid using older models in new hardware multi-fx units.

  7. Also checked the Celestion Speaker Shaper. Great plugin. Very detailed and precise, yet, since it's on par with WoS and AT5, it brings nothing new to the table. I'd buy it was heavily discounted and if there were more speakers and mics available. Otherwise it's just another interface to what I already have. Yes, you get very creative with this and process your signal through 8x24 Neo Greenbacks. Just ain't the droids I'm looking for.

That would be a good idea.

I have had to draw in wheel articulations in the past to simulate a slide from one note to another; very time consuming.

Indeed. My workaround is to record the real fretless bass, which is a lot easier than programming MIDI if the bass is well written and no rearranging is required. In all other cases I'd prefer a VI over the real thing.
