    might get le the Chandler

I have it. AFAIK, the original amp is designed with power amp saturation in mind, which is not the strongest side of most amp sims, including BX (Nembrini) plugins. Only ReValver has got it right. GR5 is close, but not spot on. All other developers use some simplified approximation of power amp impact on the overall tone and feel.

just got me Bassdude for 5 $ , i'm starting to love this PA sub ...people are selling Pa plugins all over the place

$5 or $25? Have they got rid of their license transfer fee?

I asked for it , no way , woudl love that it could be convereted to some credits ( a small amount like 10 for a slot or some) for at lmeast get stuff here and there ;)

Actually, I'm OK with that. I also think, we must support developers we like with our money, loyalty and spreading the word. But since it's a group buy, I'd be willing to share my slots with other people, if it were possible.

thks , may ia ask you input on Bassman and Chandler ?

I never owned or played real Bassman or Chandler, but I do like Brainworx implementations.

Since you don't play the guitar yourself, I would suggest to stick with Amplitube because, although other ampsims may sound and feel a bit (or quite a bit) better, Amplitube tones are mix-ready, i.e. require less hassle to make the mix sound good. That's just my experience, of course, so take it with a grain of salt.

i decided to keep my brainwork megasingle for that heavy gain stuff...

bx megasingle and megadual blow the competition out of the water. I'd use them for heavier stuff, if I played it. 🙂

  6. Got it from everyplugin.  First of all checked the Finger Bass. It's not perfectly in tune according to the ET system, but it definitely sounds like a normal bass.  Not as versatile as Ample Sound or IK MODO basses, but very usable nevertheless.

  7. I love AiR instruments. Been  eyeing this upgrade for a while.  This instrument sounds so good, it seems I can stay awake all night, going through its great presets and playing... Worth every cent.

talking about some Bassman tones ,how do you find the PA one versus the AT Fenders ?

IMO, none of the existing plugins comes close to this complex, rich tone.  If you must pick just one, AT4 is more versatile.

  9. This a track, mixed with just TR5 plugins.

This was intended to be just a mic test, to figure out what mic to use with my new 1x12 cabinet. I took a drum loop, played a simple riff and improvised over it. Then added a bass line and some Hammond pad. Then I decided to give T-Racks a try and put some modules across the tracks and busses. Honestly, I didn't expect it to sound this good for a roughly put together test. It took me only 3 hours from start to finish! That's including swapping mics, recording, etc.

Reason for me to switch buffer sizes between tracking and mixing. Though it's hard not to start to mix during recording

Thanks, Cap!😄 It doesn't really help in this case.

I have all the tapes except 99 and they are great. Does 99 give me something that others won’t, doesn’t seem to on demo but any one prefer it to the others?

The way I see it after some testing (with the most neutral settings):

24 and 80 when used across individual tracks have a subtle cumulative effect.   On the master bus are almost nonexistent.

99 and 440 are not so subtle across individual tracks, but give great results on the master bus.

Bear in mind, these plugs are CPU hungry and can easily cause dropouts, if you have too many tracks. In such case you'd want to use them only on buses, not individual tracks. HTH.

Don't count the Fulltone out just yet. That OCD is the best distortion in AT.

I agree, the Fulltone collection is great, especially chorus and delay modules. As for distortion, I think Wampler Pinnacle is better. But my opinion is based on playing real pedals. It is possible, that OCD implementation  in AT4 is better than the Pinnacle.

FWIW,  will we ever see other brands' units grow into collections? Like T-Rex, Wampler, Engle, DrZ?

  13. I think subs like this are a great opportunity for hobbyists to:

    a) thoroughly test plugins;

    b) finish a project, committing changes and then cancelling subscription till the next time.
