  1. Waiting for Koby's help to upgrade to the Inspire Collection.
  2. Who's gonna need us, guitarists, with instruments like this? /*gone taking piano lessons...*/
  3. I love AiR instruments. Been eyeing this upgrade for a while. This instrument sounds so good, it seems I can stay awake all night, going through its great presets and playing... Worth every cent.
  4. IMO, none of the existing plugins comes close to this complex, rich tone. If you must pick just one, AT4 is more versatile.
  5. This a track, mixed with just TR5 plugins. https://yadi.sk/d/mzT1freFejR2Ug This was intended to be just a mic test, to figure out what mic to use with my new 1x12 cabinet. I took a drum loop, played a simple riff and improvised over it. Then added a bass line and some Hammond pad. Then I decided to give T-Racks a try and put some modules across the tracks and busses. Honestly, I didn't expect it to sound this good for a roughly put together test. It took me only 3 hours from start to finish! That's including swapping mics, recording, etc.
  6. You can easily stay within $200 range and get Fender or Epiphone acoustic guitar that will play and sound excellent. This track has been recorded with me Epiphone DR-200CE Na (CE = cutaway electric, NA = Natural finish). https://www.bandlab.com/soundwise/alisa-miller-augustin-21818?revId=b684723f-e61a-e811-80c3-00155d60d108 Minimal processing applied. If it doesn't sound acceptably good, I don't know what does.
  7. Thanks, Cap!😄 It doesn't really help in this case.
  8. The way I see it after some testing (with the most neutral settings): 24 and 80 when used across individual tracks have a subtle cumulative effect. On the master bus are almost nonexistent. 99 and 440 are not so subtle across individual tracks, but give great results on the master bus. Bear in mind, these plugs are CPU hungry and can easily cause dropouts, if you have too many tracks. In such case you'd want to use them only on buses, not individual tracks. HTH.
  9. SVX1 has an upgrade option to SVX2, comes with more gear, including pedals and mics, IIRC.

    IK Saturator X

I agree, the Fulltone collection is great, especially chorus and delay modules. As for distortion, I think Wampler Pinnacle is better. But my opinion is based on playing real pedals. It is possible, that OCD implementation in AT4 is better than the Pinnacle. FWIW, will we ever see other brands' units grow into collections? Like T-Rex, Wampler, Engle, DrZ?
  11. This video convinced me, that IK version of Orange amps is pretty accurate
  12. I think subs like this are a great opportunity for hobbyists to: a) thoroughly test plugins; b) finish a project, committing changes and then cancelling subscription till the next time.
  13. Thanks to Peter, the support request was instantly solved. I'll save my money for MTMs. Hopefully, will get a pair by the end of the year. 🤗
  14. What's the best practice if the IKM support doesn't respond? I have a ticket open, the support guy promised to solve it for me and disappeared. It's already 5 days since the last time he contacted me.
  15. It's not that I'm very busy using it, but yes, I've tried all available options, including gain staging.
  16. IIRC, it's been offered for $29 last summer. Anyway, just demoed it. With moderate settings can't tell it from the Softube Saturation knob, which is free. Am I missing something?
  17. Hopefully Peter or Ryan can answer this. If I buy Amplitube Brian May, will it qualify for the current promotion?
  18. For people on a very tight budget Audio Assault products will serve very well.
  19. Any chance iLoud MTM will be a part of this promotion as a qualifying product?
  20. Check the blowout area at JRR. Just purchased the Vintage collection 1. Can't believe how natural and organic the tone is. Although the plugin still doesn't respond to playing like the real amp, it sounds exceptionally good.
  21. Between Lindell and DrumX Lindell was the most obvious choice. Compared it against other M/S channel strips. Well, it's doesn't rival competing products but still is very nice, especially at the price. For $4 it's a great buy, even if it will "collect dust" on the drive.
  22. I you have H-EQ, it has API mode, which is indistinguishable from Waves' take on API (and Neve and Pultec and SSL).
  23. Mixbus v5 is as buggy as it can get. Major workflow areas such as audio routing, mixbusses' visibility are plagued with unexpected errors. Very disappointing.
