  1. Wanted to share this. Just reamped a little set of guitar recs through my Laney IRT-Studio and compared results with the BST100 processed tracks. In a blind test I wouldn't be able to tell the tube head from the plugin. It's good. With Celestion IRs, of course!
  2. It's not a DI riff. It's processed with the preset. I can make a DI for you. Won't take long,
  3. Audio https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OfmCtuAvbdauYrHxRdhtNQYnjfIEmrPh/view?usp=sharing BST100 preset https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OVpiDbos_1FNTLzeOJj19yLV1ekjdjUv/view?usp=sharing Done this in 30 seconds. Depeche Mod riff.wav DM Slow riff.xml
  4. Exactly! My demos had expired long ago, so I had to judge by listening to the online reviews. Well, now that I purchased the BST100 license and tried the plugin with Celestion IRs - it's just what the doctor ordered! FWIW, I still doubt the MRH810 tracks will have good separation in the mix. At least, easily dialed in.
  5. I don't see a point in checking something overpriced. Sorry, unless they have some sales, I won't even look there.
  6. This review sold the BST100 to me And this just confirmed, that 2210 is ... ermm... not for everyone.
  7. Nembrini amps undeniably boast the highest details, clarity and response. But, summed together, all these factors make your guitar sound wooly and mashy in the mix. This may be due to the Choptones IRs. Gotta give it a try with other IRs and compare with the real tube heads/preamps I have.
  8. Interesting. I'm not impressed by the demo. How do you know it's good? Nevermind. It's not the droids tones I'm looking for.
  9. My thoughts exactly, word by word!
  10. I don't really want or need duplicates, but, since it's a Group buy, I'd be happy to give away my extra slots to people I know.
  11. It's a dangerous set of mind. 🙂 I'd rather thank them for creating this plugin. 🤗
  12. When I bought MCabinet hoping it to be a regular IR loader with 6 slots for IRs, I was very surprised and upset it's not what I expected. I requested a refund, but the good folks at Melda refused, saying, "you should've demoed it first" and "we don't do refunds for already registered licenses". So I decided to give this plugin a try and guess what - it's super useful! Now it's my goto virtual cabinet, coupled with Celestion IR library I have. I get excellent results, much better, than what was possible with normal IR loaders, including the WoS.
  13. I doubt you may use it for videos. We are not allowed to publish works with these stems involved.
  14. Vouchers are nice to have if they get you something useful. Hopefully they'll have a flash sale this month too.
  15. or ... for you favorite plugin vendor with every plugin you buy.
  16. Gotta get me some British Classics.
  17. This Sonivox offers many nice to great sounding instruments, but the poor UX turns people away from using it. The only Sonivox VI I have no complaints about is the Eighty Eight Ensemble piano. All other libraries are ruined by poor programming. What a drag!
  18. That's exactly what I meant by saying, that AT4 is mix ready. 😀
  19. Interesting. Zo asked about my personal experience, I replied and gave my reasons. Don't you think it was rude to generalize my response and compare it with a stinky little hole? I mean, unnecessarily rude. Yes, some people are more sensitive to the outer world and others are less, to the point they can't tell false from in tune or even black from white. We all are different. Peace!

    XLN Updates

XLN Online Installer, AK2 and AD2 are updated. No new instruments on the horizon. Looks like a regular maintenance update.
  21. Did I mention ReValver? Most amp sims sound great nowadays. But only RV4 responds to pick attack like the real thing. Oh, almost forgot! STL Tones (former Ignite amps) make some great stuff. Too expensive for what it offers, but honorable mention nonetheless.
  22. It is good. Not superb or excellent, yet usable for some bluesy stuff. Good for slide playing and even can do some Brain May tones.
  23. You can try ReValver and see if you like it. All modules are available for demo. Only real limitation is that you can't save your settings for modules that are not licensed. RV4 has a spectacular power amp emulation. It is fully functional with free amps that don't require any purchase. Full ReValver has lots of great cleans. Even free amps are very usable for that purpose.
  24. I have it. AFAIK, the original amp is designed with power amp saturation in mind, which is not the strongest side of most amp sims, including BX (Nembrini) plugins. Only ReValver has got it right. GR5 is close, but not spot on. All other developers use some simplified approximation of power amp impact on the overall tone and feel.
