  1. I was waiting for this same deal to pop on UA website, in hopes of getting a loyalty coupon.  They said on the forum they were going to send out an email today to existing bundle owners offering the same Signature deal direct from UA.  Then they send out that email, but it is only a coupon for lower tier bundles unless you owned Diamond.

What the ever loving hell.  I snoozed, I got confused, I lose. I should have jumped earlier.  Congrats to all who did.

    Man this burns my *****.

EDIT:  Sorted it out with support once again after more back and forth. Purchase made.  I have to give credit to their support despite UA's overarching poor sales messaging.

Yeah they're burning a lot of bridges. I hope people are smart enough to boycott them rather than reward them for it.

I'll be very wary about giving them any more money because their sh1tty sales practices caused me to regret spending several hundred dollars money with them in only 2.5 months. They're basically teaching people not to spend money with them because buying now is worse than buying later, with no grace period, and you can't trust their marketing messaging, because the opposite of what they've said about what's on offer has been true. They're also teaching people they have no ethics, they will lie about past promises and when evidence is presented they will cover it up and gaslight you into the bargain. Well, the lessons have been learned here.

After a fair amount of back and forth bitching and evidentiary wrangling they offered me a reasonably solid deal on the Signature upgrade (I am one plug shy of the old Mix bundle at present).  I'll give them credit for that, although I had to be zealous. I haven't taken the plunge as I'm going to wait and see how BF shapes up elsewhere.  I don't want to reward this shoddy nonsense with my cash but I do love the UA plugs I have.  Hard call. The again, how many compressors and EQ's does a human really need?  Especially a hobbyist schmuck like me?  I know, wrong question hereabouts.

  3. Always hold out hope for 50% off Plasmonic. No luck yet.

Holding my breath for a sub-$50 Novum or Kult.

Would have  been interested in a better V-Collection upgrade offer. Seems that is not in the cards.

Any no-brainer-grade Melda bundle upgrade offer would definitely get my attention.

A deep Tomofon sale might get me too.

I also want a pony. A free one.

It's nearly functionally identical to the Dust Engine #1, if you have that. Three sound sources that you can blend together as you like, with additional controls to adjust the transient, EQ, envelope, arp, (pedal) drive, "thump",  delay, reverb, chaos and swing, with appropriately quirky possibilities hiding among some of the more standard options.

The most significant difference I see, other than the three main sources being entirely different, is that the last fader-y thing at upper left in Engine #2 controls a sub bass, where in Engine #1 it added vinyl crackle or cassette hiss.

Overall, pretty cool IMO. You can leave in the transient and play it "straight", but fiddle with or automate the source mix and effects for lots of variety; or wind the transients down, turn on the arp and hold some long chords while tweaking/automating for pretty lively pads. And many things in between, I'm sure.

I'd go into more detail, but that wouldn't really go along with Pendle's "trust me on this" ethos for this series, now, would it?

Thanks. That was helpful and I do have the last one for context. I'm sure it'll be gobbled up by me pretty soon.

Interesting. Looks like a lot of workflow upgrades rather than groundbraking innovations.

Suite upgrade is 199 but now with 20% off for 159 and you pay when 12 is released.

Odd; my Suite upgrade from 11 is $183.00.

Pretty disappointing that Ableton has now apparently decided that none of its Live releases will make it to a .5 anymore.  This one seems even more feature-underwhelming than 11 but I'll likely do it anyway.

  6. Bah.  This bundle to bundle upgrade pricing is stupid because it doesn't consider any plugins that are part of various bundles but which may have been bought as singles by the user. I have Creative and then several other additional plugins that are in the other bundles.

Not impressed. They were calculating the upgrades to the Diamond bundle based on individual plugins-- now this?  Guess I'll save money at least.

Need to wait for these bundles to appear on the UA store directly, that's when they'll be able to discount based on what you already own.

These bundle offers have now appeared on the main UA site and still no sign of upgrade discounts based on plugins already owned.  They have also apparently discontinued selling earlier bundles such as Diamond.

I dig their plugins but am not impressed by all this recent switchola as to upgrade paths.  I was shaping up to be able to upgrade to Diamond for very little-- now nada and no sign of my existing stable enabling further discounts on the other bundle offers. It's really not incentivizing further purchases.

I wasn't referring to a sale.  I was talking about lowering in general. Fwiw, it takes months of regular use to get a workflow that shows true value. It's retail is actually underpriced. It is best product of it's kind but doesn't follow the lead of companies like Fabfilter or Omnisphere.

Understood.  Funny; you name two other companies whose products I have elected not to purchase due to what I deem overpricing.

    Anyway, I've said my bit.

I think they would be crazy to lower price . It is s already arguably the best price to performance paid plugin imo.  Threads like this do make me fear that more and more will revert to subscriptions. Nobody wants to pay for softtware

If they want to maintain certain sale pricing always, it is more than fine. That's their prerogative.  Just don't call it a BF deal when it is not. That is Waves-grade marketing garbage.

FWIW I spend way more money on software than I should and not a small amount. I'm just unimpressed by this sale pricing and I have demoed the product.

And if those people happen to have a code they don't need, they could kindly pass one along instead of letting it go to waste.
