  1. X-delay is one of my favorites.
  2. Yeah that sucks. Between deals like this and my christmas bonus, these are dangerous times.
  3. Lumina is on my wishlist for years now, but still too expensive for what I would use it for.
  4. That's basically my logic when it comes to my own vocals 😅. I can't hold a note if my life depended on it. There is no Melodyne or Autotune powerful enough to fix me. You'd need some Bladerunner 2049 AI CPU power to force me in tune. So I basically vocode everything I 'sing'.
  5. I've only used Distrokid and it's been hassle free. Mind you, I have no experience with payouts (I suck 😝). I tried to release something with Soundcloud Distribution and I couldn't even do it because you can't seem to release something as a first release for an artist. I submitted a ticket and never got a response. I'm still looking for that perfect one which also lets me release on Beatport.
  6. So I gave ChatGPT the prompt to create some random words which could be said in a techno track by someone like Charlotte de Witte. First it came up with some phrases consisting of 2 words, like "pulsating bass" or "futuristic resonance". Than I gave the prompt to shorten it to one word phrases and it came up with "bassline, echoes, pulsation, resonance, techno, transcendence". Good enough. Recorded them, drowned it in reverb. Added a bit of Izotope Vocalsynth 2 which wasn't authorized all of the sudden. So Im resetting passwords and trying all sorts of things but it seems I'm locked out of my Izotope AND Native Instruments account and I can't get in. Their system seems broken. Anyway, enjoy!
  7. An 8 bit emulation of some sorts. Sounds rather good. Keep in mind, you have top install their hub to install this one. https://cradle.app/product/state-machine-bitflip/
  8. I haven't been able to update NA for quite a while now. Will this be the day? Stay tuned!
  9. Yes! That's the one. The thing that caught my eye in the EULA is: I'm not shure about that last line. What do they mean with not claiming trademark rights in derivative works? Would that mean if you slightly alter the samples and try to sell them as your own (understandable), or are they being deliberately broad and could they say that any use is a derivative work?
  10. Good deal indeed. I went for 106 with the free Lead (already have the lofreq). I still had around $8 in Deluxebucks so I got it all for 1 buck. 😎
  11. I have V9, Pigments and FX3, looking at the same $199.
  12. I believe Adobe has a free to download huge foley soundbank. I'm not sure about the rights to use it (commercially) though.
  13. Lots of sustained sounds, movement and layering. I love how the MS-20 mini interacts with the Subsequent 37. It's hard to choose which one will get their bass cut (can't have both 😢). Anyway, stupid thumbnail but since Youtube can be really fickle about my vids, I might as wel join the demons. Enjoy!
  14. I really like Noir, because it's something hard to replicate and not that common with other orchestral libraries. I like to use the phrases to create a 'sample' and use that in boom bap beats, loop them MPC style.
  15. I must say, I have pretty much no (zero) knowledge about graphic cards. I bought my PC during the graphic card shortages at the end of 2021 (due to crypto I think? And shortages due to covid), so the only thing I could get was an MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GT LP. This is a card from 2017. It does all my multicam stuff easily in 1080p. Haven't tried 4K. My jam videos with all kind of additional graphics with a length of around 6-7 minutes, render in a couple of minutes. But (and it's a huge Nicki Minaj but), I have absolutely no idea if I'm using the card at all, I could be rendering with my CPU (a pretty powerful i9 12900k). That's about my level of competence with graphic work. 😅 But I guess DaVinci goes for the dedicated graphics card as a default?
  16. Let me weigh in on the Davinci Resolve thing. I use it for all my (multicam) jam videos. As said before in this topic, it might seem daunting but you really don't need a lot of functions/pages. Drop all your media in...Media. Go to Edit for...editing (skip the cut page). Whatever you do, skip the fusion page, there be dragons there (well, I use it for greenscreen correcting which is pretty easy once you know what tool you need). Use you daw for audio and import it. Color is for....color, just doomscrool through all the LUT's you want. Export is pretty easy. The most advanced thing I do is syncing 3 camera angles and that literally takes 3 seconds because it's a baked in function in Resolve. I bought an additional graphics pack for $49 with which I'm sure I'm set for life.
  17. Yeah yeah, another week another jam. I recorded this last week and in retrospect you notice some thing went on too long. But hey, there's no going back. There was something weird going on in the arrangement where the hihats seemed out of time after the drop. But when I changed the synths it all seemed to get back into sync. That's not what happened, but the combination of synths in the break/drop and the hihats made it seem that way. Sound can be weird.

    Gone Again!

For the sake or our wallets, do you perhaps have anything planned around christmas? 😇
  19. That's an amazing deal. If I had the room and budget I would get one. This is one those 'center piece of the studio' kind of synths.
  20. Hi Tom, thanks for the reply! It sounds fine in my room, but to be honest, I don't pay that much attention to panning and stuff. So the criticism is valid. I don't think Youtube does a lot to the stereofield of the mix? Well, I'm always learning. So your comment and that of @Wookiee are going to be in my mind next jam (well no, I already recorded, mixed and mastered that, so in 2 weeks). Most of the current stereo seperation is from delays and reverb fx. So I will definitely try to do some more work in the stereofield. Thanks. I do practice runs yes, not really to practice what I will do and repeat it but to see if what I have in mind will work in 6-8 minutes. I've had jams where I have a cheatsheet, but I try to do without. Depending on the number of channels I try to do everything live, but mixing like 12 channels on an 8 channel MIDI controller is hard (you have to switch views, don't know which channel is where exactly, etc). The fat-*** drone is the MS-20 mini. It's a classic for a reason. I have it feedback patched (the out to the ext. in and the phones out to my pre-amps). Combined with the Sub37 gives me an insane amount of colourful and rich bass.
  21. Nope, Ableton (and Yamaha HS8 speakers). But I admit, I didn't spent a lot of time on the mixing and mastering.
