Yeah, re-install is not gonna happen haha. I really should at some time just to de-clutter everything, but it's not a fun task.
Anyway, thanks for your answer, I figured as much. Just wanted tot check. I think I will copy the VST folder, delete Cakewalk and re-create the Cakewalk folder in program files, but just as a holder for the VST folder.

Hi all,
I want to create some space on the HD, so I wanted to delete Cakewalk (I know I know, I switched to Ableton recently). Now, if I decide to uninstall Cakewalk using the Apps section in Windows, will that also delete my VST folder which I still use to install all my plugins?
Or would it work if I make a backup of that folder and manually move it back in its original location?

Alas- The shipping equals the microphone price for me (ECM8000). No one in the States appears to have them in stock for $30. I may pick up the ARC 3 anyway before "the end" and backorder the mic from Sweetwater.
Sadly, the mic wasn't 30 for me neither. I went for the official ARC3 mic. So...double that and then some. But I plan to use it in conjunction with Mic Room. So I justified it in my head. Not in my wallet though...

Got ARC3, ordered the MEMS mic from Thomann. So somewhere next week I'm good to go. Hopefully the count goes up a tier so I can get Mic Room for free (so the MEMS mic doesn't only get used fot this one purpose).

Only the mic? I don't see that option. Pick the ARC3 bundle as your entry (can't pick hardware as freeware in their group buys) or get just the software as one of your freeware and then just buy the mic alone separately. That's what I did.
Yeah I'm leaning towards that last option. Have you tried the software yet? Any thoughts on CPU usage?
-
I'm looking around but the ARC mic seems a good option. Not that more expensive and saves some hassle. Would it count towards the GB?

Just be aware that that mic probably wouldn’t be individually calibrated, but you should be able to find a generic calibration file. The individually calibrated ones would around $70 (like the Dayton EMM6).
Nice addition, thanks!

You can already peruse the IK stuff for your next freebie which should come in today or early tomorrow!
In that case...can someone tell if ARC3 is useful for someone like me who has no room treatment whatsoever (I know the mic version is not included in de GB, but you can buy a listen mic for €30). Is it CPU hungy?

GAS is lovely, right? Have fun!!!
And thanks for pushing us one step closer to 6 freebies!
Well, as my girlfriend and I broke up this week, the plan to set up a podcast studio is also gone. So that leaves me with way too my much GAS money. I should not be in this forum...

Well, I pulled the trigger and got Lurssen. Now I'm like a kid in the candy show with a seemingly unending dropdown of freebies.

Hold on, I have Jampoints. Does using jampoints put me in a lower tier or does the original price count?
I know this has probably been talked about, but it's saturday and I'm not spending my weekend reading through 40 pages. That's what worktime is for

@Nick Blanc "buy the Sunset reverb and tier up?"
Get Lurssen at $159 then the rest of the dominoes will fall.
When I try to check prices everything I own in TrackS5 is greyed out price wise, so double check...t
Lurssen looks nice. Is it comprable with something like Ozone?

The Sunset reverb is 149 right? So buying Comprexxor doesn't qualify me. Or I have to switch it around, buy the Sunset reverb and tier up.

Any recommendations? I would like to try the Comprexxor. I already own the Black 76, Classic clippe and EQ.
-
So I've ignoring this thing a bit. But you're telling me if I were to buy Comprexxor for 129.99 now, when this thing is over I can get 6 (or more by that time) plugins of equal or less value for free?

I don’t own any Rob Papen plugins but saw that the more plugins you own the cheaper it is to upgrade to explorer 6/7. I did that with Eventide where I picked enough cheap plugins that eventually got a really good price on Anthology. I’m kind of wondering if it’s worth doing this here too. Seems a lot of plugins are quite old though. Anyone with explorer 6 have any comments if there are any gems that maybe have been upgraded recently or would justify getting the series?
Rob keeps updating his plugins and adding new plugins, so I wouldn't worry about old. I would suggest the route like Brian did. Start with 1-3 seperate plugins and then upgrade. I personally love how they work, it's just something in the workflow and the sound I'm after. Predator 2 is really good (and can be overwhelming). The hidden gem for me is BIT.
I'm constantly surprised when I load a preset (and there are a LOT) and tweak it, I get such great results. I know it's a taste thing, but there are many other synths which don't do that for me.

I love Noire and this new library sounds beautiful. Galaxy Instruments is absolutely fabulous at piano libraries -- love them. My only concern is that this may be packaged with the next version of KOMPLETE and I don't want to buy it twice.
Exactly my thoughts. I got extremely lucky with buying Arkhis seperately to find out later that it was only included in the Ultimate Collectors Edition (which I don't have), but I learned my lesson. I will not buy NI products before knowing what will be in de next Komplete Ultimate (my current level).

For about 72 hours there is a $1 AUD (or € 0,95) somewhere on their website. They don't say which one in the mail I got. Luckily my browser has a search function. So after checking 7 categories I got lucky and here it is:
https://www.zenhiser.com/collections/deep-house/products/berlin-house-grooves-01
Normal price 30 AUD.

This makes me very happy. For the first time in my life I have something that kinda resembles a studio. I'm talking about the 360 pugin. Unfortunately the zoom function shaves off the fader from view and without zoom I have empty space (2560x1440 monitor).
This almost makes me want to dig up my old 1080 monitor from storage just to look at the mixer all the time.

I could swear I purchased Lift 3 and got Lift 2 for free. But I will check when I'm at home.
-
Huh? I'm looking at my Acoustica Audio Account and it says I bought Diamond Lift 3 last november. Did I time travel?

Some good deals yes, but I'm holding out for black friday. Which is usually about the same discount but probably with the the a special BF freebie when you spend above x.
